Have you ever snuck pony references into school, work, or the like?
When I was a senior in high school, I was involved my church youth group's dinner theater. I didn't write it, but I did help brainstorm some ideas and ended up creating two of the main characters. It had a superhero theme, and I gave them the idea of Stare Master whose powerful stare forced people to tell the truth. I also gave them Discord, who, well, just told a lot of tricky lies. Only my friends caught on.

No, that would be extremely autistic
>>29582200
>church
Am I the only one who keeps pony and the rest of my life separate?
>>29582212
>having a life outside pony
>>29582204
>implying we aren't all autistic
Some of us just have more control than others.

AS A MOUSEI want to kill Freshman me for making this monstrosity to present to my advisory class (study hall)

this
>>29582200
yeah
>why did the pony go to the doctors?
>he was a little hoarse
>lulz were had
>>29582200
I sometimes say "Secrets and lies, it's all secrets and lies!" whenever me and my friends are discussing something unrealistic.

>letting a hobby influence everything in your life
Pretty sad desu senpai
>>29583267
Haha, you tried to type f"a"m again.
>>29583271
>implying I'm not aware of the word filters
>implying I don't actually enjoy them
There was a specific wording Applejack used for something at a point in season 1 and whenever I would say the small phrase, I would always add the drawl inflection on it as a reminder to myself. It wasn't anything noticeable by anyone else because it was just a dumber way of saying it.

Ah I remember now, whenever someone would say potato chips all I could think or say in response was tater chips. I know it isn't a purely pony term, but all I can think of is Applejack dopely saying "Tater chips" in her hallucinogenic state and it makes me laugh every time.

I've done worse in college.
>Have a class about the importance of cities
>Final project is making a presentation about utopia/dystopia in real or fictional cities
>I chose Ponyville because it was easy and I was cheesy
>My presentation was organized and followed the rubric
>Got counted off a couple points for not taking it seriously
One guy in the class knew my topic, and he skipped class that day. The same guy had anonymously (though I knew it was him) sent a note to the student activity board in an attempt to shut down our brony club.Yes, I started a brony club.No regrets, I made some of my very best frens there.
>>29582200
I say y'all at every opportunity.
I'm from New Mexico, so no one actually catches it.
>>29583934
>The same guy had anonymously (though I knew it was him) sent a note to the student activity board in an attempt to shut down our brony club.
Bet he was a weeb.
>>29582204
You're a big tard
>>29584127
He was a huge politically correct Tumblrfag. The note he sent basically said, "I think it's really creepy that..." over and over.
The activity board set up a meeting with me to discuss it. I was really concerned at first, but after I explained it, the director understood because he was a weeb when he was in high school in the 80s or something like that.

Back in 2012, tried to subtly sneak Celestia's cutie mark into an application for a player-group logo in a game. The dev reviewing it not only denied me on use-of-licensed-property grounds, but told me I had terrible taste in ponies.
>>29582200
No but in 2012 at the height of ponydom, I once said "everyp- body".
That was close.
I listen to poni in Japanese at work
>>29582200
When I was applying for colleges a few years ago, one of the applications asked me to use 5 words to desribe what community means to me (or something along those lines).
>altruism, compassion, devotion, integrity, optimism
I hope at least one person actually read my application and got the reference, but either of those is unlikely.
>>29582200Senior quote. Just a small, innocuous one though.
>>29584729
he was right.
>>29582200
Yes, actually. Every once in a while, i'll say "Eeyup", just like Big Mac. Only one friend of mine ever got the reference, and he's a weeb who's watched some of MLP. I, in turn, have watched a small amount of Animu.
>>29584729
ahahahaha
get fucked faggot
>>29585110
Well? Let's hear it.
>>29585530
Something along the lines of "thanks family and thanks to all my true, true friends"
You wouldn't know unless you were in the know
>>29582200
So, you thought up Wonder Woman and Loki.
Excellent pony references there, churchy.
>>29585433
Cringe
>>29584744
Whenever I read books for long enough I start think in the dialect of the book. Add F:OE, I've almost said everypony multiple times, but I normally think about what I'm going to say before I speak, so I can filter it out.
>>29582212
I do. I used to not when I was like 15, but I grew up, and realised that no one cares about what I like or don't like.
>>29582200
I haven't but somebody I know might have. I heard a co-worker use the phrase liquid pride in a conversation with another employee. I couldn't hear the rest of what he said but it's such a particular phrase and considering his interests he could have watched the show and stuck that phrase into a conversation. I never said anything about it.
>>29582200
I do stuff like that regularly, and not just with pony. Half the fun of making a reference is figuring out how to keep people from noticing it's a reference.
>>29582200
While doing some building work for a commercial MUD, I sneaked the names of the Mane Six into some public room descriptions of a player-populated city.
It's low-key enough that I don't think anyone ever found them. Just some fun little Easter eggs, around which I challenged myself to structure sentences and build ideas.
>>29582200
I do it to a friend who tries to hide liking mlp and doesn't know that I know. make it look like I didn't mention it on purpose and watch his reaction and his attempts to "play it cool"
works every time
>>29583036
>raspberry pi
Please explain, your taste in single board computers peaks my interests.
>>29582200
If it's raining, sometimes I'll tell my housemates that's "it's all wet and everything" outside. And say "Eeyup" sometimes (but that's just kinda the way I talk)
>>29582200
No.
But I was helping to make a maze at my youth group, and I made a part of the walls in the shape of a swastika.
Nobody found out except the biggest sperg at our church.
>>29585931
This. It wasn't pony related but when I read Room by Emma Donoghue I started to talk with worse grammar. It stopped once I finished the book so it wasn't that bad.
