Pony town has light colors, better looking cutesy ponies, you can eat apples, remove the grass and put it back. But the map is small. The game is newer from 2016 and might have potential for better updates in a time manner.

Everfree Outpost is procedurally generated and you can build a lot of shit like walls, doors, houses, rocks, anvils, fences, streets, light posts. It has more vivid and darker colors, but the ponies aren't as cute and the huge infinite map makes it hard to interact with others. Also Outpost is older, like from 2013 older and the updates haven't really fixed jackshit. Plus Outpost keeps giving me errors while in Chrome.

The problem with Outpost is there really isn't anything to do either. Sure you can craft stuff and make a house, but that's about it. There aren't any challenges to overcome.

If it had puzzles to solve, or monsters to fight, then it'd be a lot more interesting.

To keep our secret hideout pure, we said that the ip was a virus and not to click it, the name spawned from that.
A few different servers for the original Ponytown were made, but they're all gone now.
The ones I can remember are:
Virus Town
Grass Town( May have been another name for Virus Town, can't remember)
B00ties' abomination of a sever
and a few others, but the stragglers were just a mess.
Now we only have the actual Ponytown, which is a Russian Undertale cesspool.

Outpost dev here. I am still working on it, but I've been pretty slow the past ~6 months mainly due to RL workload.

In another few months I should have a big update ready to go. One of the major goals for that update is to add some basic progression through multiple material tiers. The highest-tier materials (for making the fanciest houses and equipment) will appear farthest from spawn and will be hardest to collect, due to both distance and risk of getting lost. It'll still be a sandbox game, but at least there will be some challenges to overcome if you want to build the biggest, fanciest house.
