GoH is a bit of a weird thing because its both a brand and like its own story. Who knows where it will go? Plus, people actually have received it well and Hasbro doesn't make too much.

Glimmer claimed that the "Staff of Sameness" was the 9th Enchanted Item, but Twilight later remembered that there were only 8 Enchanted Items crafted by Meddlebrook (or at least, only 8 memorable enough to be recorded in history). It was later revealed that Glimmer's staff was a fake.

Tell you what, it would be some serious DEEPEST LORE bullshit if they actually ended up bringing that shit back in a way that wasn't as generic Deus-ex Machina shit like the Elements of Harmony were (seriously, I know the elements were there since the beginning and a lot of people like them but they were never used as anything other than auto-win plot devices and I'm honestly kind of glad they're gone now).
