I've been coming to these threads for the better part of a year and I can tell you that the current level of "shitposting" in here is relatively low compared to many occasions in the past.
While Glimmerposting has been a popular thing here on /mlp/ for a while it has escalated recently due to all the news at toy fair. Since you don't seem to now this let me catch you up. Glimmer was been confirmed to be in s7(if there was any doubt), EqG, and the movie. To boot all within a few days.
If you aren't new you'll know that anytime anything official relating to glimmer(news, episodes, etc..) comes out there is a complete shit storm in the American fandom. The fact that all of what I mentioned above came out practically AT THE SAME TIME just compounded on that.
So in true /mlp/ spirit a few anons made b8 threads to soak up tears just the same as usual, and to rub it in Glimmerhaters faces.

I'm indifferent to what OP does personally, but seriously, to anyone who isn't a newfag, you're making yourself look like an idiot.

And for the record our "containment" thread hasn't been "safe" in probably 6 months.

Sorry, but they tend to be super sensative people. That being said the majority of show discussion I have tends to occur between a number of discord groups/friends.
I'd suggest you try your luck with EQD, mlp forums, etc..(really any other site than 4/8 chan).
