The finale was literal garbage; all of the main characters were rekt offscreen, the changelings in Ponyville didn't pounce Glimmer and Trixie for no raisin despite having already replaced everyone, Sunburst didn't appear despite being one of maybe two of the actually good new characters this season, Discord is useless and gets taken out in the most obvious way possible, Trixie sacrifices herself to buy Glimmer and Thorax time to make a plan only for Glimmer to mindlessly beat the throne with a fucking ROCK, bug ex machina, and finally Glimmer's overall struggle is utter shit and makes it impossible to relate to her because none of the Our Town ponies seem to care that she abused them for so long and don't give her shit for it.

The Heartswarming episode is only good for the songs, otherwise it's a very basic and unoriginal retelling of A Christmas Carol
