First, after you get your thread and needle, look up a tutorial on how to properly thread it. Seriously, it's not immediately obvious to most people. Make sure you tie the end of a couple times so you have a nice thick knot.

After that, do your best to tighten the exposed stitch on your plush by cutting the end-knot and tying it off tightly. Next, look up how to do a ladder stitch. This is what you will use to bind the two pieces together. Make sure pay special attention to how ladder stitches are locked at the end. If you don't properly lock the end, the end knot will pull through the fabric and you will have the same issue again.

Sewing can be scary and a bit intimidating at first; especially when it comes to your Waifu. Just remember that you can always cut your end knot and start over.

I'm so glad I have my ponies.

I thought this was going to be a nice, chill final semester, but instead apparently one group of friends, who has a beef with another group of my friends, is finding evidence that the first group did somewhat sketchy shit with the club's budget, but the way they're going about it is also sketchy.

The one side is asking my to look in and provide insight as I've been with the club for a while (not in a lead role, so I don't know wtf is going on), and the other group wants to know what's going on, because the first side claims that some of this stuff is bad enough for potential expulsion from the university.

I pretty much told them I want nothing to do with either of them until they sort their shit out and I'm pretty ashamed in both of them.

Luckily I have friend group 3 of my rock climbing friends, as well as my plushies when I just want to sink into bed and forget that in our world friendship is not magic and people have to be assholes to each other.

Anyone got any good sewing resources for absolute beginners? I assume just trying to make a lifesize as a first project isn't gonna end well. I haven't sewn anything since middle school, and I don't even remember a lick of that.

The best resource is honestly the OP guide and Google(and if that fails, just post in the thread and someones bound to help). As long as you have a bit if [Determination] and are prepared 100+ hours of hand sewing, you could do it.

The only thing you may want to change when using the pattern for life sizes is to shrink the head by aprox. 10%. It's something I didn't do on mine that I wish I would have.

As for print scale, I printed the OP pattern at 71% scale from MS Paint. She stands at about 35in from hoof to head.

Dunno, but from what I've gathered (personal experience included) it's been mostly Twifags with the dedication to learn an entire craft just to make a plush version of their waifu.

The first DIY plushers from the thread were 2 Twifags and a 2 Dashfags, but only the twifags delivered as far as getting their waifu's done. Admittedly Twilight is an easier character than Dash to do but not by much. As far as I remember, there's been at least 3 Twifags that have started and completed LS versions of her with another one >>29550084 in the works. Probably forgot a few as there's been a bunch of people that have posted interest but never posted completed plushes to the thread.

I think she doesn't really want to do another Spyro right away given that the last one looked like utter hell to do but silent auctions are always pretty questionable to me. Also it's a soft auction so she'll only take it if she feels the offer is enough to justify the effort needed to make it.

Also yeah the Spyro was super airbrushed but maybe that's just down to his design and hopefully not something she's gonna do on every project from here on out.
