Because all these channels know how valuable this scheme is and the work investment to make this content is virtually nothing. If the channel stays online long enough to get a payout, you've done $20 worth of animation and made $10k from your millions of views. Hasbro can take one down, but Youtube will instantly prop up the next one and give it another 10 million views in the following month. It's a waste of time and money to try to stop it when the entire automated process is designed to feed these things.

There are TONS of these disgusting channels on Youtube exploiting their algorithm. Parents should NEVER let their kids watch Youtube videos unsupervised.

It's not robots. These are legit the most successful animation channels on Youtube right now.

In a nutshell, Youtube is about low-effort exploitation of brands people are already talking about. The most popular products are cheap and often borderline illegal. Nobody even knows for sure if Lets Plays are alright, because the "fair use" defense has never been tested for them and there are no precedents.

The whole point of their system is to bend copyright law is far as it can go, and to do it China cheap. If people aren't getting lead poisoning from making your Youtube videos, you don't belong there.

Every school that I went to and all those in the surrounding area give every student an iPad to use for the year. So even if you want to be a responsible parent and not allow your child on the Internet unsupervised, the schools are doing the exact opposite. Sure, there are lessons and books on them, but I would love to see the number of kids caught watching shitty youtube videos in the middle of class or how many take them home to watch without their parents knowing or how many watch during recreation periods like lunch or recess.
