I personally think it would be hilarious if they gave up on all pretenses of making this good and introduced Mike Vogel as the replacement for S1's Meghan. Just have Mike Vogel, the Hasbro exec who makes sure they visit the Crystal Empire five times per season, run around with the ponies giving his input and opinion on everything.

They'll be like, "We should do this," and he'll be like, "Oh, you know who would be great to do that with? Sweetiebelle. Please go get Sweetiebelle". And then they'd get Sweetiebelle because Mike asked them to.

If you think about it, it would suddenly give a ton of context for odd decisions within the show.

You know this is part of the problem and confusion, though, right?

Anons don't want Twilight to be a princess, so they complain that she's going to be different and everything is going to change. So what did the show do? They did their best to keep Twilight from changing even as they moved her into a palace.

But now you've got a "princess" with no purpose and no meaning. The problem from the start was that you can't just change a character into an alicorn princess and not have that be a big deal. The fact that Twilight still farts around like a normal pony is retarded. I don't want her to be a princess either, but it's probably worse that they never embraced the massive change here.

Ponies still get all excited to meet Twilight because she's famous, but that's it. That's all she gets. But this is what happens when an outside force makes an arbitrary change and nobody working on the project can figure out how to facilitate that change without altering the entire show to work around it.
