Honestly I don't give a shit about the wings. I was butthurt like everyone else when it first happened but the more I think about it I have no issue at all with it, doesn't really even change anything. What I do hate is how much her personality has changed since then. I can understand character development, and her becoming a bit more social and friendly would e natural for her having to deal with being a public figure. But it's gone beyond natural development and was so rushed that it felt like a complete 180 to all of her traits. She's hardly the cynical, paranoid, nerdy, overachieving bookworm we used to love her for being.

Never had an issue with it, and found the roleplaying surrounding the event pretty cringey. Funny at first, but it went on too long.

The episode where she got her wings was pretty weak, and story wise it would've been way better if she got her wings at the end of season 4 because she got a shit ton of alicorn juice pumped into her. So it'd make sense that she'd get wings as a side effect or what have you.

I'll never understand why people can't get over it. I completely understand not liking/hating the episode, but I don't understand why because of that episode, the rest of her character (and ostensibly, the show) is irredeemable. Nor will I understand why people who hold this position continue to stick around.
