I'm assuming you get the gist of their characterization through other people's writing, which would still be second-hand and itself affected by how those people see the characters. It would basically be writing your interpretation of someone else's interpretation of someone else's characters.

In part. I mean, I know about the episodes - I know what happens in them, how the characters react, more than just the memetastic lines you see repeated everywhere - but I've never been able to actually watch.

The bizarre thing is nobody has noticed it in my writing yet - or at least not commented about off characterization. I can only presume I've either sponged up so much information over time that I can render them reasonably accurately, or simply nobody gives a fuck about mild variations in characters' personalities. I'd like to assume the former, but suspect it's the latter.

Can't seem to give this place up, though. It's pretty much my home board, and have a tough time giving it up completely after all these years. I've more or less always kept a tab open on some thread on /mlp/ for 5 damn years now.

I can't weigh in on show discussion anymore for obvious reasons, so I mostly stay out of that. I do love the greens, though. I've writefagged a little, and enjoyed it. Even if you don't watch the show anymore, you can still have fun with this place. Just as long as I don't reveal my dirty secret that I don't watch anymore (like I am right now), this place is still alright.

And no, I will not go. I don't really care that I'm a "fan of the fandom" now.

I stopped watching the show halfway through season 3 and only come here because of sunset and dazzles. I couldn't give a fuck less about the main 6. Still hated the movies though. Hell anything mlp related makes me cringe out of my skin now.

I did watch the season 4 premiere on stream and keked at Starlights obvious tumblr princess shtick. From what I've heard and seen about her now, I'm glad I stopped watching.
