The Diamond Dogs have a better design that seperates them from both dogs and people. Their big arms, barbed tails, their strange teeth. They weren't so much dog-people as they were doglike creatures.

You know, you're not forced to like every single thing from MLP.

Ihe biggest problem I have is he just doesn't match up aesthetically with the rest. I know there's grounds for anthro cats in mlp with Katrina and all but he looks just like he's from an entierly different cartoon with how he's drawn and designed.

At least Zoe's maybe-anthro bird looks like she belongs with the rest of the characters in her design (Hell she could still just be a standing griffon or something) but this Capper looks like something out of Cats don't dance of some shit just dropped into a different movie... maybe it's just the promotional art that's off (certainly nothing new for mlp) so here's hoping he won't look so out of place in the movie...

After Faust left, the crew threw consistency to the wind and we've been getting less and less uniform design language. It started with ponies that don't quite fit in, then villains, then the dragons, and lots of subtle stuff that just doesn't work with the Lynne Naylor / Rob Renzetti / Lauren Faust / Chris Reccardi style.
