I saw thread after thread of people complaining about the show abandoning world building and lore.

A movie can have more than 6 characters and tell a story.

The thing about that is that multiple people contributed to all of that you dip.
/mlp/ isn't one big collective, it's hundreds of different Anons with separate opinions who want different things from the show and the movie, so of course they'd be difficult to please.

There's no way to appeal to everyone with the movie, but they could do better than what we've seen so far given how long they've actually been working on the movie.

As for complaining, it's just how stuff works.
People don't like the thing, they talk about why and discuss why it wasn't a good thing.
Something was good, people agree and leave it at that.
