Am I excited? Yeah, but I'm confident that Hasbro is going to make a complete mess out of this movie. They've already got all those celebrity VAs, and I just kinda doubt they'll put together a good story.

I'm also kind of nervous about going to see it at the theater. I mean, I will, but I know what I look like. I don't have kids. Those movie theater attendants are going to know what's up. Plus, I'd like to pick a time to go to the theater when it won't be full of children.

I am excited, and I expect it to be quite good.

It's easy to be excited about the movie at this point.

Because they're treating it like a real fucking movie. They're introducing new characters and expanding into new territory to try and deliver an MLP epic. It feels a little oldschool. The seapony shit is a direct shout out to us that they want us to take their movie seriously, and the token niggers are a direct shout out to Hollywood that they want them to take their movie seriously.

With them trying that hard it's bound to be real fuckin bad or Real Fuckin Good. I bet when Diggs sees all the gay porn of his character he'll admit himself to a god damn nuthouse for two weeks to decompress.

Not me. I was iffy when they released the new art style. I was even less excited when I saw just how little Hasbro was marketing this as if they knew it wouldn't be worth it. These 6000 new characters including edgelord and furries completely ruined it for me. I expect even less from this than I did the first EqG and my hopes were low for that. The MLP movie will be the first failure of 2017 and hopefully the only one.

Its ironic. I wanted more furry shit in equestria girls. I got more furry shit in pony instead.

I still don't get why people are so pissed about Tempest. She doesn't look angry and all emo-grimdark, she's smiling, and she doesn't look like they're playing up her broken horn besides being an asthetic part of her.

This is actually true, even somewhat confirmed by the original draft of the script. It involved the Mane 6 exploring the lands outside Equestria to find magic stones, which involved visiting other kingdoms like the sea pony kingdom.

At the very least you can expect Queen Novo and Princess Skystar to only be in the movie for the portion of it where the Mane 6 are in their kingdoms. Frankly this will probably apply to Captain Celaeno and Capper as well.

Tempest Shadow and The Storm King are the two here who might play a bigger role. But The Storm King could very well end up being in the same boat as the other rulers and Tempest might only appear during one of the kingdoms too.

Not saying that none of them will have larger roles for sure but most of them at least are probably only gonna be in the movie for about 10-20 minutes.
