I like all three. Old Glimmer is a great antagonist, filly Glimmer a cute little pony, and new Glimmer a good development and but if a twist for my favorite pony Twilight to have to deal with.
If I had to pick a favorite I'd say new Glimmer, but that's just my opinion. I really liked her chapter book and S6 episodes.

Last season was great and Glimmer's episodes were among the best.
The only reason people "hate" (I put this in quotes because most people don't really know why they hate her, and won't be able to give any reason) her is the propaganda pushed by the small but determined group of anti glimmer autists that contaminate this board. Glimmer hate is literally just a bandwagon meme that simpletons jump on in an attempt to fit in.
Anti glimmer autists have been surprisingly successful through numerous false flag glimmer spam threads (many of which are extremely low quality false flags, it still baffles me how people fall for them).
