Shitpost. Hasbro never commits.

We only have confirmation on Season 7 and a few comments that suggest that Season 8 is highly likely (but no actual confirmation or move made by Hasbro to cement that S8 will be a thing).

That said, as long as the toys keep selling well Hasbro will keep pumping out MLP:FiM. Considering that the MLP: FiM section is Hasbro's most profitable girls merchandise line at the moment because of the show's popularity and they're doing nothing but expanding on the toys being produced I'd say that S8, 9 and even 10 are highly likely barring some kind of unexpected massive drop-off in MLP toy sales.
