Catching up on Season 6, and just watched the episode with this guy.
What's /mlp/'s thoughts on him? I personally thought he was hilarious, and a good example of someone with contrasting opinions willing to agree to disagree. (After almost dying anyway.)

He's a waifu stealer, and that's all I know about him that I care to remember.
>>29427135
I liked him and Zephyr Breeze.
>>29427135
Should marry Rainbow Dash sometime in Season 7.
>>29427135
He fucked rainbow dash in that foam pit.
>>29427211
They got an extra hour.
>>29427135
He definitely porked Bluefast.
>>29427135
Nice guy, would hang out with and argue about shit. The fact that he's supposed to embody "us" may have something to do with the fact that I like to hang out with you and argue about shit.

This was one of the few episodes I liked this season. I really liked Quibble, I think that he was funny and amusing. But I also liked that he wasn't "wrong", he didn't change his mind. I was afraid that the (new) writers could do an episode where the character who only likes the old episodes is forced to accept that the new ones are good too, but it was really nice to see that the real moral was, Rainbow liked some things, Quibble liked other things, but none of them was more "right" than the other. It was unexpectedly respectful and as a nostalgiafag I appreciated it a lot.

>Wanting to talk about episodes way late
Like I said in the original threads and several after that one, he feels like a faggot made exclusively to make old fans look as idiots. Because the staff knows they won't ever be able to make good the show again, so they said "either you like the new show or you are a Quibble pants retard, so good riddance".

>made exclusively to make old fans look as idiots
Did we watch the same episode?
>>29428642
Yes. Quibble literally ends the episode narrating his shitty fanfiction to Dash, did you forgot this crucial fact? what do we mostly do here? shitty fanfiction, and to make sure to strike the nail in the head, he clearly mentions how his fanfiction is superior to the official stuff.

"You may have terrible taste in books, but you're pretty awesome yourself. In a brainy, egghead, puzzle-solving kind of way."
Anon, if you think that the writers decided that only Rainbow was right, and Rainbow doesn't think that Quibble is retarded, what makes you think that the writers are calling him a retard?
I mean, there are a number of reasons to dislike the episode if you need a reason to, but what you're saying is simply not true.
>>29428684
Quibble was the one that gave up and admitted that Dash was right, not the other way around.
While you may think "who cares about that little detail you fucking autist", if you paid attention to the tweets the staff made, they consider their show a complete master piece, totally flawless and the only comments they care about are the ones that praise them and they block and ignore everybody that complains.Jim ruined this fucking show, only desperate fucks that eat whatever shit as long as it has waifus and cute ponies are left.

>Quibble was the one that gave up and admitted that Dash was right
That's stretching the truth quite a bit. Quibble admitted that Dash was right about the books being real stories, not about the books being good. "Maybe the later books are slightly more realistic than I gave them credit for. Still don't like them."
If anything, it was Quibble the one to say that it's OK to like different things. But again, it's not something negative because it only means that he was less stubborn than Rainbow, who was literally a Hasdrone. The message was literally that someone who likes the new books isn't any more "authentic" as a fan than someone who only likes the old books. It's the exact opposite of what you're saying.
If you've decided that you don't want to like the episode, there's nothing I can say about it. I think Josh Haber is absolutely incompetent as story editor. I think Jim Miller is a complete moron. But even a broken clock is right twice a day, and this episode had a great message. You could say that an episode like this is as much as saying "you know, we'll never do anything you like ever again, please don't hate us", you can call it patronizing or whatever, but you can't seriously say that this was meant as an insult, because it simply was not.
>>29427135
I can't tell if I love him or hate him. On one hand, he's a cunt and a hypocrite when it comes to talking about his fandoms.
Otherwise he's a cool guy.
>>29427135
All he is is a representation of the "fans" who quit after season 3 because they couldn't adapt to change.
It's like seeing Star Wars or Resident Evil fans who worship the original stuff but refuse to give the new stuff the time of day
>>29428953
>Star Wars fans who worship the original stuff
>refuse to give the new stuff the time of day
Thats because the new movies are worse than the prequels.
>>29427135
That whole episode was a mindfuck. There are just too many little things in the Daring Do con that are just like the pony cons we have, from the awkward cosplay to the anime influence. Also Quibble is a dink with terrible opinion I'd love to have a drink with.
>>29429113
dumping screencaps
>>29429125
Poor Twilight, doesn't get to go and have fun because she has princess duties aka a job.
>>29429130
I wish there was more art of ths pone. I truly sympathize with her.
>>29429143
We need thier faces to be memeier.
>>29429161
And I'll end with a webm of quibble getting his tail yanked with a face that says a likes it a little to much.
>>29427211

>>29427135
Seems like a total bro and I would totally have a drink with him and argue over random shit. I liked how they didn't make him over exaggerated having him accept the things he didn't like, but still chose to not bother himself with them because they frustrated him, overall he seems like a cool dude
