he's probably still very young (compared to how old he CAN get) and will outlive his animal friends without problem, Rainbow Dash as well. Ponies usually live about 25-30 years (our ponies) so you can say that 60 is a reasonable number for magical ones. Unless Tank is 50 already, he'll far outlive Rainbow.

One of the best (by which I mean saddest) parts is Trinity being "misdiagnosed" (by which I mean a random incompetent shit doctor spills bullshit) as having "childhood onset Alzheimer's" When she probably has a real disorder (Heller's, which has nothing to do with drug use) and Anon is too broke and worn down to seek out other options, a second diagnosis, or proper care.

The cool autumn air brought Rainbow Dash back to her senses, as well as the light crunch of leaves underhoof. The speed and heavy footfalls were indicative of her loyal friend and secret crush Anon Y Mouse.

Rainbow leaned against the gnarled trunk of a perhaps centuries old Oak tree, a piece of parchment that looked to have been crumpled and smoothed repeatedly was pressed tightly to her chest.

Anon placed his warm hand on Dash's blue coat, gently pulling her towards him so he could get a proper look at her face. Anon nearly recoiled at the distraught, heart-breaking look on his closest friend's face.
>Dash what happened? Is it one of our friends, are they hurt?
Dash shook her head. Tears threatened to fall, and she wiped them away with a hoof. The piece of parchment escaped her loose grasp and Anon was quick to grab it out of the air.

She nodded her head, turning back over to look away from Anon so he couldn't see her cry even more. Anon turned towards the piece of parchment, a Wonderbolts wax seal placed at the top of the paper. The material seemed to have been put through hell, like it had been crumpled and twisted and smoothed, only to do it all again.
Anon examined the piece of parchment, his throat going dry as he read further and further. Most of the jargon escape his grasp, though it was hardly important. The important thing was the last three sentences of the last paragraph.

Anon shut his eyes, shook his head, and reopened them to reread the last paragraph. The letter was in plain Equestrian. The numerous crinkles made it a chore to read, though the words were clearly printed on the page.

Dash shuddered, still not turning towards Anon or speaking to him at all.

Anon set the letter down next to the roots of the tree, and pulled Rainbow Dash close to his chest.
Rainbow shuddered again in his grasp, attempting and failing to stifle the sob that left her throat.
"H-how c-could they? I've worked so," Rainbow stopped for a moment to breath in quick, shallow breaths, letting off a torrent of tears and sobs, "...So hard. I'm the b-best flier in Equestria! Why would they turn me away, Anon? Am I not good enough? Am I a failure?"
Anon gripped her tightly to his chest and rubbing small circles on her stomach.

Dash sobbed, "S-spitfire delivered it herself, I was s-so excited to see her. When she said she was worry I knew. I-I knew they rejected me, I can't do anything right."
Anon buried his head into her mane, trying to comfort the crying pegasus as she let out wailing sobs and a torrential flood of tears.

Rainbow Dash perched high above Equestria, long after her heavy cry session with Anon. Her house was far below her even, the soft lights still twinkling in the floating home brought her gaze towards it. The cloud she was perched on was more than enough though, for her needs.

She was numb, a horrible and cold chill grasped at her heart and lungs. Ponyville lingered down below, the laughter and cheer reaching her even from her perch among the clouds.
Perhaps they would miss her, perhaps not, Rainbow Dash couldn't bring herself to linger on it. The more she waited the more likely it was for her to back out. She was a failure at her dream, at her life's goal, she would not fail at this.
Rainbow looked at the pair of wing trimmers, a tool used by pegasi to preen and groom their wings easier, It could also be used to remove the feathers vital for maintaining flight. She gritted her teeth and cut off each primary feather one at a time.
Each feather fell down to the Earth softly, if anyone could see her they would assume that the cloud was raining.
Rainbow dropped the clippers, and they plummeted to Equestria must faster than the feathers. She took in a deep breath, determined not to fail this time around.
"Maybe the girls can finally be happy," Rainbow muttered bitterly to herself, "They don't need an egotistical failure like me. They're better than that. Please... Celestia... Just don't let them find me."
Rainbow breathed in deeply, and pitched foreward off the cloud. Perhaps she was a failure, but she would not fail at this.

Last year I have finished high school. I have started working in a city 300km from home. No friends here, or family. The only people I know are my flatmates and colleagues, and I don't like any of them. The only person that is nice to me is that woman who sells in a nearby grocery. It's calm and relaxing, perfect for me. If I didn't like it I would probably change it by now. I just wish I was working with someone younger than 60.

I applied for an IT job but resigned the very day they accepted me. It turned out it was one of those fake "you won an iPhone" companies. I could go home with nothing or find another job. I guess I'll keep IT as a hobby for now

All the episodes I've seen, the merch I've bought, the pony cons I've been to; there's no way in hell I could forget it.

Hell I wear an MLP shirt once every two weeks currently. Usually with a buttoned up short sleeved shirt to hide my power level. 4 years later and I still do that.

There is no forgetting this for me. The only way I'll forget is if I get Alzheimer's disease, and even then I feel like if I see something resembling the show, I'll feel like I've seen it from somewhere before.
