The first EqG was a mess, even if I personally enjoyed it for what it was. Rainbow Rocks actually showed some promise with better villains, songs, plot and a revamped Sunset. But when Sci-Twi comes into the picture, suddenly becomes Twilight Sparkle show but with humans. The spotlight is taken away from Sunset and she's reduced to a support role for Twi. The next two movies were just a retread of the first. Not to mention because Sci-Twi, shitty romance was brought the forefront instead of just being a side "will they or won't they" plot that was barley given attention to like it was previously.
What do you guys think?

The concept had so much potential and they did it in the most cliche and uninspired way possible.
