Adding on to my post, however, I don't think we're getting anything from Super Bowl. Mostly dudebro guys are gonna be watching and MLP was just a cameo in one little commercial. Little kids might watch but for Hasbro to reach the demographic they're looking for, they might put it in the Lego Batman movie or something. I still stand by my theory that we get a teaser at Toy Fair (Hasbro is clearly gonna have the toys there and some people might want context on who the new characters are so why not release a teaser) and a full trailer with the Power Rangers movie in March since A. The full purpose of both movies is to sell toys to young children and B. They're both Lionsgate movies, so perfect audience and perfect time. I'm totally fine with being proved wrong on the Super Bowl thing though.

That's from like 3 years ago. And its not 1 billion per year, that's that they reached 1 billion by THAT POINT since FIM started. FIM was making about 400 million per year when that presentation was made (the three seasons had amounted to them selling over a billion.

Okay I may have been wrong about that, but the point is MLP is still a profitable brand. (The pic is actually from 2015 so) MLP wouldn't fail because it's fucking profitable. It's in the top 3 Hasbro brands, it's basically printing money and people are still this fucking delusional that they actually think it's gonna fail.

Also, MLP isn't nearly as profitable as it used to be. Pony merch sales began falling last year and haven't stopped falling, the Ratings for the show have crashed and crashed hard, and until they created the minis the EQG franchise was in a freefall (and the classic line of toys still aren't selling, to the point that it probably will be discontinued soon).

It may not be running at a negative yet, but its very clearly on its way out. They should have done the movie in Season 4 at the series peak, not now at its twilight.

Toy sales may have been in a small decline before, but we haven't really gotten much news on them recently. I'm sure they're doing fine since the Crystal Emprie castle was literally Hasbro's top seller during the Christmas season in 2016.

The EG dolls I will admit are dead and they're most likely already discontinued and the minis have taken over, I won't deny that.

Ratings have never been a factor for this shows success, and really the highest I think they even got to was 1 million in 2012 with a Canterlot Wedding. The Season 5 premiere or some episode in Season 5 got 700,000 I believe. But ratings never did matter, and besides, MLP is on a premium cable package on a channel no one even watches besides MLP.

What other "profitable IP's" are there that have the international success MLP does? Transformers yeah I can see that, but what other brands do they have that are more profitable than MLP? Let me see the receipts.
