It ended on a super cliffhanger and I just can't wait to watch the next. I am catching air as I type this post. My only advice would be to set aside some time for it though, at least a few hours if not a whole night. That way you can give it a real chance to see if you like it or not. The first couple episodes are a bit meh and not nessarily representative of the series as a whole, or even the first season.

Be warned you might end up bingeing the whole thing though, or at least the first few seasons. That was a helluva ride...

Cute horses doing cute things. Think of it like moe except a bit less saccharine and it panders to the audience less. It still does so, just don't expect a beach episode or something like that.

Past that the setting and the plot lines are cool sometimes. They aren't the most involved or intricate things in history, but they're enough to hold your interest, attention, and imagination for the run time of the episodes.

There's about 48 hours of MLP:FiM available for viewing right now, a bit over 54 if you include the spinoff movie series. Will that effect you? Probably a little bit. Will it fundamentally change who you are as a person? Probably not, unless you're particularly prone to that sort of thing, which most people aren't.

Now, the problem here is that there's only so much show, but there's a whole lot of content besides that because of other official media as well as because of the community surrounding the show.

For example, on FiMfiction.net I've probably read about 10,000,000 million words of MLP:FiM fanfiction, probably a bit more. Has that changed me? Hell yea, of course it has. You can't invest that sort of time into something without coming out different on the other end of it.

Long story short, this show will only change you as much as you let it and that depends on how much you invest yourself into it.
