Another tip: making ToDo lists or writing notepad files or even shopping lists, means nothing if you don't follow up on them. Develop positive habits like reading what you wrote yesterday/past week with your morning coffee (or no coffee if we're trying to be most healthy) and you'll gradually feel better or at least tolerate it better.

I also got on the ride during the early days of S2, at which time I'd recently dropped out of school, had no real life-prospects and was planning on killing myself. I had an interest in gamedev and programming, but I didn't have anything even vaguely resembling a plan.

Today I'm 22 and I'm quite comfortably making a living working as an indie programmer. I'm not really sure what I'm trying to impart by sharing this, other than perhaps the notion that as long as you're willing to just keep moving foward, life can have a funny way of working things out.

I'm lazy as fuck as well, and while I try my best to be productive, I still waste a lot of time procrastinating. I've come to find that you can't really change such behaviour in an instant. It takes time and effort, but as long as you're willing to keep trying even after failing repeatedly - never letting youself fall into the trap of thinking "I guess I'm just too lazy/stupid/untalented to do this, the odds are stacked against me, I'll never get anywhere, I'll just stop trying" - you will make positive progress, slowly but surely.

Actually this, though. OP, get one of those browser extensions that restricts how much time you can spend on certain sites, and set it to block 4chan, reddit, facebook, etc, anywhere you go to waste time, aside from 1 or 2 hours a day. Now when you sit down to write / draw / make game, you won't get distracted nearly as much by random timewasting bullshit.
