I'd say that most people here aren't usually "mean". I've had really nice conversations here with people with complete opposite opinions from mine, I've helped people here finding a pic, or a video, or whatever, and some other people have helped me. I've requested drawings and greens, and I've delivered a few too. If everyone was always "mean", I couldn't have done any of that.

As I see it, the "4chan culture" isn't about being always a fucking jerk, it's about not adding the saccharine we use out there. If I'm arguing with someone and I want to have a real talk, I have no reason to act like an edgy kid. But if the other anon turns out to be a retard, I'll tell him "fuck you" much sooner here than anywhere else. You can't change that, and if you really need to, maybe this place isn't for you.

And yeah, some people think that to post here they have to wear always their Guy Fawkes masks and act always like le ebin 4channer. But you won't convince them to change by starting threads like this, because in the script they're following they'll think they have to laugh at you.
