If they decide to end FiM at one point (which most likely won't be before 2020) it won't take more than two years for G5 to come along. Hasbro's current strategy is for their toylines to have near-constant entertainment media exposure. The sales drop during the one year hiatus was notable enough for them to make sure that doesn't happen again.

And the ride will commence all over again.

Of course there's the possibility that a G5/reboot would be as crappy as the PPG reboot.

It's probably the most -boring- one i've witnessed.
Like in previous hiatus' there'd always be shit happening, be it some fun fan creation or some funny drama.
