My go to example is Buffy The Vampire Slayer fandom. The show, which was never as popular as MLP, premiered 20 years ago and ended 14 years ago, yet there are still comics being made, and 2 separate fan forums with daily posts.

I can guarantee you that a decade from now there will still be MLP discussions, as well as fanfics, fanart, ect. being made. Hell I'm sure there will even be new fans then who aren't even into the show now.
