Nah, try again next season. Season 5 is superior, it just happened to be surrounded by hit-or-miss seasons. Outside of letting in the abhorrent monster known as Dusedau it was pretty much everything you'd want from a season with no nonsense attached.

I like season six, but seasons 4 and 5 were fucking amazing.

I wish season 6 had handled the relationship between Twilight and Starlight better. I liked Starlight's arc, but Twilight was portrayed as a pretty fucking horrible teacher. When Starlight takes action to save everyone then offers mercy to Chrysalis, it doesn't really feel like it was the result of Twilight teaching her anything, whereas Twilight had a really strong relationship with Celestia and it felt like Celestia played a large role in Twilight's accomplishments.

Also there wasn't a big "I'm so proud of you" moment from Twilight to Starlight that really should have been there.
