With the Frozen North stirring once again, the Mane Six (plus Spike) have to set out on a journey to find some magical dohicky left behind by Meghan G1/Fausticorn/whatever, while Luna and Celestia stay behind to slow its advance.
Basically Felllowship of the Ring with a journey and some nice setpieces.
Ends with the Frozen North defeated and Luna and Celestia ascending to NotValinor, leaving Twilight as the new ruler of Equestria.
