This is going to sound slightly insane but the best advice I can give is don't force the search. I was a lonely kissless faggot for most of my life, who couldn't have gotten a girl interested in me if my life depended on it. Until one day, I just gave up and decided I'm going to die alone, so I might as well enjoy spending my money - not like I need to save it for anyone else, and started spending it on doing stuff that I enjoyed. Long story short (can tell it in full if anyone gives a shit) met a girl at a SciFi convention got talking, exchanged numbers / IM details, continued talking post con, talking became flirting, flirting became a long distance relationship, which became her moving in with me, which became her finding out about Moonie and cosplaying as her in the bedroom one night (it helps that she regularly wears glasses and bulky sweaters (and makes pretty good spagoots too)), which became realising that I was never going to find anyone this perfect anywhere else, which became asking her to marry me.
