With brighter and more vivid colors the quality of new pages dropped as hell and they're simply incoherent. Just look how detailed is the wall in the first panel and how simple and plain are ponies, the rug, sky outside. Another comparison - Luna nad Anon shading, highlights, details.

The last panel is a perspective disaster, the shading and colors look like taken from FoE fanart, the sky is even more fucked up than that from Mafia III.

So, about the shading I did in grayscale, it was actually a lot faster since I have very few colors to sweat about, i didn't also need to have much in the way of established swatches. But I don't know if the reception is anti or pro colors, since most people don't say anything unless they have something to complain about.
