If you head into the forest, the best possible case scenario is that they're just hanging out there for reasons beyond any of us. Chances are good it'll be empty whether they're fine or dead. I don't think we know about their lodging, but if we did I'd check the hotels and look for any vehicles or rentals left near the Morrisons in Largs - maybe some of them bear marks of pone. So trains arrive at Largs every hour at 43/44 on saturdays, so Sweguy should have arrived at 15:43 when they where to meet at 16. It's a 5 minute walk from the train station, if they didn\t pick him up there already. Ferry would leave at 16:15.
