My Twalot is almost finished even if the pattern didn't turn out as good as I hoped, I had to settle with it because I don't have much time left,
yesterday I went to buy fabric for the mane but they didn't have purple, I'm going to a different store today and hopefully I'll find it there, it's the last thing I need to finish her.

I don't know if I'll be that but I'm getting back to working towards a LS Twilight now that life settled down a little. Put the tail on last night and I'll start patterning a mane today. I'll practice applique and make another practice plush now that I have a sewing machine.

don't stuff it, but rather make it more like a quilt, what way you could use it kinda like a blanket
while it being big and fluffy as a pillow may be nice, it'll put a lot of stress where the tail is sewn onto the body

No, the store I went to had only a few colors to choose from. I just went with that color for a practice plush since at the time I wasn't sure if I wanted to make plushies or just continue to wait to comission somebody. I also choose to skip the eyes and cutiemark at the time.

We had a bunch of them sitting around a table at bronycon. It was a cross between autism in motion and generally cool people. The little kids were hilarious, the fursuiters were annoying as fuck (not all, just some). It's a mixed bag, but some pretty damn entertaining people watching. I'm sure someone here has pix.

The two hand stitches you primarily need to know are the backstitch and the ladder stitch. The former will be used to do the vast majority of the plush and the latter will be used to attach body parts together.

I'll take them. I don't mind paying shipping either if you can get them first class or something. If you use a big bubble mailer and stuff 'em in it'll be cheaper than a box and should still come with tracking at first class. It might even be cheaper if they don't fit in one to mail them separately because anything over I think 47 inches around has to be shipped priority and that gets nuts. Just let me know though!

Do you use a pattern, and would you be willing to sell that pattern? This seems small enough where you might 'freehand' it.

Posted the how-to here a long long time ago. Pattern is a 2" square and a 2" circle. All the "extras" (wings, horn, mane, tail) are freehand. Eyes are three tiny stitches with embroidery floss. I do those in a hoop before cutting out the piece. Google "Sarubobo" and you'll find at least one decent tutorial on how it works.
