Eh I write greentext stories when my ADD allows it. If you can consider greentext stories fanfics. I'm not all that good, or at least don't think I am. I just write for my own enjoyment, though open for criticism. Unfortunately never finish what I start though.

Only greentexts here. Short stories, I think my longest was like 16 posts. Mostly written to help keep afloat threads I follow, such as Sun-day, Momlestia and the cozy comfy ponies general (now dead). I also did two one-post things for the royal guard mare thread recently and something for the pony femdom thread. I think I made a two posts thing for /moon/ too last year, for Valentine's day.
All pretty forgettable.
I regret nothing. It would be too late anyway, I was doomed the day I found out about ponies. It's OK

I've written some very long fanfics, as well as some short stories. Some of my fanfics have become very famous in the fandom.

You know... I've been homeless for a lot of these past few years. I was living in different shelters when not wasting my time at the shit-tier englis college I had to be in for my shitty UK country govt to take enough of an interest in me to actually help me get out of my abusive home. I never knew where I'd be staying at until I was told on the train ride home that I had to fucking pay for, blowing 70% of my monthly govt money on train fare and HAVING to carry everything around due to having no home. Over the years, I planned a long and awesome fanfic starring an OC of mine, my one OC, because unlike some people, I don't make thirty pony creator avatars and call that a day. When I do something I go all the way. Usually. I think it's a symptom of something.

Anyway, my fic. It was an "OC goes to ponyville and meets the mane six" fic with a twist: The guy isn't a bland useless fuck and has skills and a personality. Show-level slice of life stuff happens until he realizes his attraction toward Twilight and Pinkie and asks them both out, expecting one to dump him, then both love him, to his surprise. Don't worry, it's sweet.

Now, in a good shelter and with an ok computer with a working keyboard, no longer confined to a tiny phone keyboard with no wifi and limited mobile data in a shitty bare-minimum shithole of a house...

FIMfiction has gone to shit, populated solely by cancerous assholes that circlejerk and attack people 24/7. Random shit gets into the circlejerk box. Hate groups "Police" themselves because lazy mods play the "Nothing to do with me" card. Want to write for a fetish rich fucks with 200 followers and big patreon money make bank from? Story denied! Are you a kid with a mediocre story? Approved, and the hate groups will be notified shortly. Enjoy getting a disproportionate level of shit thrown at you until you leave or they tire of you and ban you.

I don't want to put myself through that cancerfest, but I do want to write my fic. What do?

Title: 'Prince nova'

Narorator: this is the story of the fallen prince of equestrian.
*start with flashback*

It was a cold night in canterlot. The royal family was sitting by the fire to keep warm. Pinsess luna and celestia, still fillies at the time, were asleep on the couch with their father on the couch. Prince nova, now in his teens, was playing with the fire. He was sticking a twig in to it, and watching it catch on fire. Ontop of the mantle was a picture of Nova, his father, and his pregnant mother. Novas mother had died during labor about 12 years prior. All seemed normal, until there was a banging on the door.

*THUD THUD THUD*
Father: Nova, could you get that, I don’t want to wake your sisters.
Nova: sigh *throwing his twig in the fire* ok.

*THUD THUD THUD* for a second time

Nova: [whispering under his breath] hold on, I’m coming…

*THUD THUD WHAM*

Suddenly the door flew open, hitting Nova in the face, and nocking him to the side. A tall dark figure entered. A gust of wind and snow rushed in behind her, blowing her main and tail about. She took a couple more steps in and the in light from the fire you could finally make out who she was. It was queen ____, queen of the changlings, mother to chrysalis. By now celestia and luna were wide awake, and they were shaking with fear.

Father, attempting to comfort his little fillies said “its ok, ill take care of this, why don’t you go to your room.”
____ cutting him off in a loud and demanding voice said “there will be no need for that! This shant take long…”
Father: Who do you think you are! busting into out home like this, scaring my children! What is the meaning of this!

Pulling the blade out the steed dropped to the floor. ____ then began to walk towards celestia and luna. They were both quivering huddled together and hiding their faces in each other’s necks. Nova, now regaining consciousness, looked up to see his father, only feet away. The look in his glossy eyes was distant. Nova then looked past his father to see the monster that had just killed his father was now about to kill his sisters. “they are my little sisters, I have to help them” nova thought to himself. Nova screamed as he charged the queen, trotting through the blood that now covered the floor infront of him. ____ laughed and kicked the filly aside. “aww how… caring of you. Are you going to try and save your sisters?” snickered _____. She grabbed lunas mane in her teeth then picked her up and held her knife to lunas throat. Nova began to panic, looking around he saw his father laying dead on the floor, celestia crying on the couch, it seemed so serial. Luna yelled through her sobs “Nova, help me!” This got Nova to snap out of it. suddenly a surge of anger blew through Novas body. A light began to shine from deep inside him, and was shining through his eyes and mouth. Nova spoke “LET HER GO”.

But in his rage Nova found a new strength. He used his magic to stop her blade. All of a sudden fear darted across ___ face as she stared into the fillys angery eyes. Nova snapped ___’s arm and then slammed the blade into her chest. Nova calmed down after this and took a step back. He thought about what he had just done. He looked back at the living room. Luna and Celestia were looking through the broken glass door at their older brother. “i-im sorry…” nova said, then he jumped off the balcony and flew into the night.

Celestia and luna were cared for by royal servants until they were old enough to take care of themselves. Nova went off, disguised as a normal earth pony, and did odd jobs. Discored saw the lack of king and queen as a chance to take the throne, and so he did, for hundreds of years until luna and celestia took it back. During the time of their ruling there were many attempts at the thrown, but most of them luna and celestia were never aware of because Nova was always there to protect them. He was a ghost. No one knew of him, and their for no one expected him to come. The perfect protector. Ke

It was raining on your walk home from the local humans meetup, but it didn’t bother you. Equestrian rain was always so... fresh. Getting soaked to the bone however, was not refreshing, so you chose to pick up a light jog. On your way through the park you noticed a box next to a park bench. "What pony would leave trash just lying around...". You ran past it without giving it a second though. Your foot landed in a rather large puddle as you passed it.

"Nyahh! Hey!... *sigh*..."

You paused from your running. Did... Did that box just talk? walking over to it and lifting up the front flap you noticed a small pony huddled inside. She was soaking wet and shivering.

"Oh, I'm so sorry! uhm... miss... Hey what are you doing here anyway?”

Most I've done is a few greentexts. Most of them were for the Reversed Gender Roles Equestria general, where mares typically act like men and stallions act like women. Been at least a couple of years since I've been there, though. Every single one is unfinished, and most of them haven't gotten to the good bits that I wanted to write.

The writing style and some of the words used in the bar story seems a bit "superfluous", if that's the right way of putting it. I think I tried too hard to not leave out details or make it not shit.
The "Anon, the Amazing" thing started with me typing whatever came to mind and seeing if a story could come from it. I don't think I had much in the way of plans for how it was going to turn out.
The "Snowbound" one was for a general that was about a picture of the CMC as humans, in their school uniforms standing outside in the snow, waiting for a bus. Almost all the stories were lewds. This one was going to be, too I only made my one in hopes of encouraging people to post more femanon stories.

There's another one that's not public, and not a greentext. It took place in the Fallout: Equestria world (don't kill me) and was about a mare managing to fuck a colt. I think while writing it I was unsure about if it should be a mare or a stallion. The inspiration from the thread was a mare, but I ended up writing a stallion, then tried to change the pronouns when I decided I'd made a mistake. I just got annoyed at myself and decided to abandon it.
I think I did do a good job of writing it, even if I didn't get to the fucking (how do you manage that?). I tried to make it clear that the main character wasn't evil, and building up the colt's mother's predicament and backstory well. If I removed the sex element from it and picked it back up, I think I might have the start of a good story.

I ended up writing a lot more in this post than I thought I would. That's a problem with my stories, too.

Hey, sorry about that super-pissed-off post earlier. I overreacted, and I shouldn't have gone full potato over a fanfic that turned out to be the boring kind of sucky.

You know... We should hit up fimfiction and write all the stuff they claim we shouldn't. We should be creative, with nonpony/hybrid protagonists, alicorns, etc. We should have fun, be epic, kiss the mane six, fight a bear, just do whatever the fuck we want and make fanfics fun again. I wrote a few short stories.

One where anon drank Pinkie Pie's piss in front of her friends on a long train ride.
One where Celestia punished a guard by spanking him and orgasm denial.
One where Soarin was visited by Luna in a dream where he fucked a freshly baked pie.

Started writing one about Shining Armor and Cadance having marital problems because Chrysalis raped him and he can't get over it.
Didn't finish that one because anons said it was getting really depressing and unenjoyable.

Decent writing. Nothing like poetry. But you have to realize that most people's pull towards writing has nothing to do with the writing itself, and all about the story. It's all about the premise. Nail that, and you're golden. You know why those half a million word stories with the edgy as sin plots with 6 OC's all fucking the main six, with an edgy, dark, Equestria get so much attention? It's because they have at least some semblance of an interesting story. The edge and "badassery" appeals to the younger audience, blindfolding them to the cringe and shitty pacing and plot. But the plot is still pulling, despite all the shitty writing.

You have decent writing skills, and contrary to what I believed for the longest time, that's all you really need in terms of skill. You don't need to be the next Hemmingway because past a certain point your skills no longer attract more readers compared to the effort required. Now, it's just about a gripping idea. Not anything spectacular, just a good idea. Then, you sit on it for a couple of days, plan an ending, all the major plot points, some key scenes, and then you plan the execution. It's all about the story.

You have to be some special kind of pretentious to read something shitty only for its writing. If you look at the majority of people, they don't really care about how you describe somebodies hair or anything else. As long as you have good word flow and you don't push really complicated sentences, (which you'll catch on an editing pass anyways), then any more writing skill on top of what you already have won't attract more readers, it'll just be icing on the cake for the people who stay. And you know what makes people stay? A good story. Remember, nothing god-like, just a decent idea with proper pacing and knowing what to focus on and what to summarize into a sentence.

Some miscellaneous key tips:

-Don't say "x seems to glisten in the sun." The narrator is talking, not the character, even though it seems that way, so you just say with certainty "x glistens in the sun." The narrator is an idealized version of themselves. So you describe things with certainty, but you can still insert indecisiveness when it matters, like judging people's thoughts or actions.
-Some things don't need to be described. People like meaty things. Don't completely skip over certain scenes, but if you're halfway through your story, people are now invested in the plot and not about everything the main character does when he wakes up in the morning. I've seen good stories skip over things like this in the mid-game since the reader is now reading to get to the juicy bits like character interaction or the main characters secret plan, and not for your worldbuilding.

Don't beat yourself up too much. The only thing you can do is not rush an idea. Spend a week or two sitting on a good idea, flesh it out, don't move on until you plan a fucking ending, and just keep writing. Don't spend too long on an idea. Spend a week or two planning something, and then write, but don't try and make something world changing. Remember, as long as your story premise is strong, and have suspension of disbelief on your side, it'll be an enjoyable read. You'll notch another story under your belt, and you'll build a wealth of stories that you can look back on and say "My writing has improved, so has my storytelling, but I'd be damned if I didn't say that was a good story idea." Also, nothing is stopping you from revisiting and rewriting, but you can't revisit something you didn't write.

I like his point that the pull of writing usually has a lot more to do with story than prose. Even our beloved Jeff Mango's fluttertrap green isn't the most scintillating writing (though it does have a few beautiful lines), but it's just a... deeply nourishing story.

Do whatever you can to wrap up the current arc you've talked about, post it all to Writefags' Guild, we'll point out revisions to make (including suggestions to make the current ending better if you think it's not great).

I'm currently writing my first longer green and I'm having a great time with it, though I don't think it'll be something that interest everyone. If I have any regrets so far it's that I didn't try longer stories sooner.

Yes, three. I don't so much regret them, but I do cringe looking back at my younger self as a whole. I'd link to them, but it appears that pastebin has deleted all of my posts for some reason. The name I posted under was Cou, same as my pastebin.

One was a stompy slippers greentext in 2013 or 2014 (completed? I think?), one was a rainbow dash to wolf transformation back in the /co/ general (back wen we wuz kangz mane) (oneshot), and I wrote the start of an anonfilly green last year on my cellphone. Never went any further than the start with that last one because I didn't feel as though people were digging the story, but I don't mind so much.
