Maybe the fact that she didn't really seem to take anything seriously in her episode, even when she was about to be thrown into another dimension it didn't seem like she reacted like any other character would. like she has no concern for anything even if it could potentially harm her or her friends

Maybe that she's incapable of connecting with anyone on a superficial level - she has to have a deeply intimate relationship with everyone she's friends with. Not sexually, but in the sense that she can't just let things lie - she has to know why her friends think and react the way they do, and she has to try to help any friend she thinks is in pain.

It causes her to come across as pushy, clingy, and intrusive to ponies who don't know her, because there are only a handful of ponies willing to share in such an intense relationship, Fluttershy clearly being among them.
