Just finished the episode. It's pretty good, for a Spike episode. I like the interactions between him and Rarity, though I'm not a sparity fan. I like the ponies in Ponyville not understanding anything about why Spike is growing because they know nothing about dragons.

Though I've never been a big fan of FiM's dragon lore. I don't like the idea of a dragon growing or shrinking based on the size of his hoard, and I'm not a fan of dragons eating gems (which the writers obviously did to avoid the implication that dragons eat ponies). Also ineffectual Wonderbolts are ineffectual.

I think the fact that neither Twilight nor anyone in Ponyville really understood anything about dragons highlights how strange it is that Celestia left Spike in her care, presumably since he hatched. Pic related.

Episode done. This probably was the Gilda redemption thing I've heard some people hate. Like most of the other episodes to me, it was meh. I do have to give the show props for characters as they all are handled well.

I might pick this show up again. Just because I like how they handle characters and banter.
