Shipment of JUICE
apple family jews
>>29142429
So, the super speedy suckmydick 6000 song was changed as well?
>>29142635
The only episode that's different is "Where the Apple Lies"
>>29142429
Fucking Brits.
This shit is why you lost the war.
>>29142786
>A change on US Netflix made by an American company
>"FUCKING BRITS"
Excellent logic there.
>>29142813
It was changed because in Europe, cider is alcohoic. Here in America, we don't often have alcoholic cider. They changed it for that reason.
>>29142826
I know exactly why they changed it, but Hasbro made the decision to change it - an American company said "we should change this" and somehow this is the fault of the British?
>>29142786
>>29142826
Actually, the only channel that's having issues with cider is Pop and Tiny POP
Nick and even Disney XD is fine with cider.
>>29142837
Yes.
It's always your guy's fault.
The change is so stupid though. I fucking hate it.
Was it Hasbro who ultimately thought to make the change?
>>29142844
>Nick and even Disney XD is fine with cider.
Have show's aired on those channels that mention cider? Regardless, Tiny Pop is what MLP airs on and it's for a much younger audience (up to 4 or 5 years old, it's supposed to be for kids who aren't in school) than either Nick or Disney XD.
At the end of the day though, the change makes sense. In MLP they use the word "cider" to mean "apple juice", the terms are interchangeable. Outside of North America the intention behind the use of the word "cider" is lost, and to retain the intent of the writer they change the word from "cider" to "juice" so the intention is retained. The fact that Hasbro give enough of a shit about that sort of thing to go back and re-record dialogue is, in itself, something you wouldn't normally see; most people would be too lazy. Especially since they don't need to do this, it's not like they were being reprimanded for using the word "cider" because the episodes didn't air at all, they could've just said "well fuck it, they won't get the episodes then" but care enough to make the changed to suit the audience.
>>29142848
>Was it Hasbro who ultimately thought to make the change?
Absolutely. If someone suggested it that doesn't mean shit, Hasbro were the one's who spent money on getting the episodes reworked so clearly someone or a group of people at Hasbro made the final call.
Come on, sound better and more natural than cider
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duGnYPHOL1s
The cider don't fit in this child show
>>29142868
>the terms are interchangeable.
No they aren't
We don't have "Apple Juice Season", we don't drink warm apple juice from mugs and it's not a traditional Christmas drink. The are very different.
In America, Cider is almost NEVER made with Alcohol but you guys call chips crisps, fries are chips, pants are trousers, swimsuits are skivvies, cookies are crackers and crackers are buiscuits because you guys suck.
Again, that's why you lost the war.I feel unnaturally angry tonight
>>29142786
It was an incider job!
>>29142902
I swear to god, Carlos. This isn't the time.
>>29142902
Fucking Carlos.
>>29142895
They are interchangeable in that you know apple juice and cider are the same thing and cider and hard cider are different things, whereas the rest of the world doesn't. It's also worth noting that in dubs on MLP in other languages the word "cider" is translated into meaning apple juice in that language, why not do the same for other English speaking countries? These episodes don't air in Australia either for the same reason.
>swimsuits are skivvies
No they're not
>cookies are crackers
No they're not
>crackers are buiscuits
No they're not
They should have named their farm 'Dixon'
Wasted opportunity

Come on, princesa. Joos this once!
>>29142936
>apple juice and cider are the same thing
THEY ARE NOT THE SAME DAMN THING
If I went to the store and asked for apple cider, they would give me a glass bottle of brewed, non-alcoholic apple cider. If I asked for apple juice, they would hand me a plastic bottle of apple juice. They are very different in America.
>No they're not
Then wtf are skivvies?
Either way, I hope they recon cider undoing this edit.
>>29142963
>>29142973
Was kind of worried my cider puns would fall flat...
>>29142953
>THEY ARE NOT THE SAME DAMN THING
Then I'm mistaken, but my point still stands. It's the closest thing you'd get if you translated American English to British English. I guess the difference is most people know that pants mean trousers but most people don't know that cider is not always alcoholic in America.
>Then wtf are skivvies?
Not a British term? I have no idea, defiantly nothing to do with swimsuits if it is.
>>29143000
Either way, looks like a storm is brewing!
>>29142993
>>29143000
Well the rest of the world is wrong.
>>29143013
Looks like you're in for apunishingexperience, carlos.
>>29142837
>I know exactly why they changed it, but Hasbro made the decision to change it - an American company said "we should change this" and somehow this is the fault of the British?
There's no proof anymore.
>>29143013
And yet they keep Applejack's name despite being the literal namesake of a hard liquor.
>>29142786
They have to not offend the 'migrants'
>>29143094
Really? I thought it was a breakfast cereal.
>>29143094
Jack Daniel's?
>>29143137
>>29143094
Because it's a pun, they're not literally talking about alcohol.
We can't show alcohol in a children's cartoon!!!!
>>29143172
Brits are so PC these days it's baffling.
>>29143179
>implying this would fly in America anymore either
>>29143190
We don't call our cider juice.
>>29143172
Im gonna ask Ishi about this topic.
>>29143194
How are differences in culture anything to do with political correctness?
>>29143190
It wouldn't.
I want Walt Disney back
I want to live in the 50's
Fuck this century
>>29143206
Then this has nothing to do with Brits being PC, this has to do with the western world being PC
>>29143206
Disney got away with an all-white cast in Frozen, despite backlash from SJW's.
>>29143226
> Implying native black skinned people ever lived on places full of snow and ice like Frozen's settings.
But again, SJW are ignorant, uncultured animals who would bitch and bitch about the lack of social diversity on sites like the north pole or places where everyone knows that a single ethnic race lives and why.
>>29143172
>comparing 1991 to 2017
>>29143206
At least Zootopia still had some adult themed storyline and topics, Kind of a serious politician based villain too.
>>29143275
Oh I get it so magic is OK but black people are unrealistic?
Didn't change the captions
>>29143368
It's so weird watching them say Juice but read cider.
>>29143329
I don't believe in black people.
>>29143329
Meanwhile, these very same people complain when white people are shown in ancient egypt.
http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/28/entertainment/gods-of-egypt-cast-apology-feat/
>"Dear Hollywood, Egypt is in Africa. Northern to be exact. Why is that so hard to grasp? Stop gentrifying African countries."
And these same people applaud and praise the play that features a black Alexander Hamilton.
>>29143405
It's almost as if SJWs hate white people.
>>29143415
When are we going to give them free train rides?
>>29143423
Just a few more trucks and we can start with the Muslims.
>>29143132
>>29143137
Applejack is a hard liquor that was very popular during the colonial era.
It's made by fermenting apple cider then letting it freeze in the winter. You remove the ice which is mostly water and that concentrates the alcohol and the flavors. It's a process called jacking hence the name.
It was the most popular liquor during the founding of the US, even more so than whiskey.
>>29143158
How is it a pun? Do you not know what a pun is?
>>29143472
And is needed if you are going to make apple butter worth a damn.
>>29143329
How many blonde, pale skinned people have you seen living as natives in Africa or the sahara, dumbo?
It's like making a movie about ancient China and complaining because there's not black people.
>>29143491
>How many blonde, pale skinned people have you seen living as natives in Africa or the sahara, dumbo?
:^)
>>29143491
Or like making a video game about WW1 and complaining that there are no female soldiers.
>>29143497
Read Burroughs's original novels, uncultured mongrel.
>>29143531
What's different in them?
>>29143502
>female soldiers
Women can't be in the army. No dishwasher gloves in there for them.
