Are there any story ideas you guys have circulating? I have a few based on a personal headcanon of mine mostly about dragons and where they come from. The map marks what supposedly looks like an island or an outlet of another landmass as the Dragon's Lair, so I interpret it as the dragons' main homeland. In a Daring Do book, there's also a mention of an archipelago called the Isles of Scaly where all the dragons weren't total douche bags.

I wish they would reference classical dragons more than dinosaurs. I mean the pillow dragon was fun but he looks more like a dinosaur than a dragon.

Really? Huh. Dragons and sapience in this franchise is very sloppily handled. I wish they gave dragons the thought and attention they do with changelings. I mean, what does a Dragon Lord even do? What do they rule over? Did Torch really need that inky dinky scepter all that time? And as its supposedly magic, where did it come from? Lots of questions abd no answers. As for the wings, I think dragons grow them but it's a painful process. Like scissor blades slowly cutting through you flesh. Granted, this is just my interpretation and its more likely that dragons are born with wings and that Spike is destined to stay grounded forever.

I think the larger implication of all of the Scepter thing is that dragons have some sort of magic among them and inherent in them. Dragon Lord specifics really matter less IMO.

I'm only questioning the specifics because it implies they have general unified culture and society, one which we're never privy of. Honestly, as nice as Gauntlet was, I wanted another episode like Griffonstone that added to the overall lore of dragons. It'd be cool if we saw some other implications about their magic. They do eat crystals and gemstones after all and those tend to be magical in nature.

I think they do, depending on the size. Maybe the large dragons live in caves because the amount of materials needed to build liveable structures would just be too much. The smaller ones probably have some on Dragon's Lair if that actually is there homeland and they aren't a nomadic and migratory species. What if they had an underground settlement? Or they lived in a collection of caves?

I want to hear Spike describe the events of SoME to Ember or some other dragon and they all get really freaked out. Like, imply that what he went through is a terrible event for a young dragon that in dragon culture is actively prevented from happening.

I think it's probably a mix of both but I think they always can get bigger based in greed. Guardians of Harmony seemingly implies Spike can control his greed growth too. But I still don't think his greed form is his actual adult form.
