You can try having people set up pieces of the world. How ponies got to where they are, what tech they've created, relations with other races, battles etc. Honestly what you're asking for is for isn't easy to make up and put in a green format.

Stallions can't take in the geneseed, thus we have Brother's of Battle.

The self-aware, wacky 40k makes the Newcrons look better.

Is pony magic different from warp magic? Is the reason ponies can do magic without terrible warp things happening because their collective psyches aren't filled with the usual horrors of the 41st millenium. Are unicorns the only ones that can be psykers?

I like looking at all these possible hypotheticals.
