The Nazis certainly committed the holocaust, killed dissenters, and sought to reclaim the land of the German empire (I won't disagree.) This is why all the arguments about it, in the Aryanne thread, happen. Some people like certain ideals of fascism, others don't, and still more others go around spouting that modern fascists are evil, when in reality they simply think their system is best and/or are just expressing hate for those they blame for societies problems. I think trying to argue who is "right" or "better" is such a moot point, but it always happens like this. It seems almost impossible for mlp to just get a thread about Nazi/Wehrmacht ponies without the aforementioned shitfest.
