Our story takes place one Hearth's Warming Eve,
In a fantastic tale that few can believe.
It begins in the midst of a terrible storm,
And six brave heroes who were struggling to stay warm.

They had gone out the days before on an adventure or two,
And were ready to come home where there was much to do,
For Hearth's Warming was tomorrow, and after journeys' ends
There'd be presents and feasts with their families and friends.

But alas, on their way back they were caught in a flurry,
And no progress to be made no matter how much they hurry.
They'd been trying for hours and hours to see the path home
And been met with an endless sea of white to roam.

Now it was getting dark, Celestia's sun was beginning to go away,
And it's starting to seem like you won't be in home for the holiday.
But oh, what is that?! You all think you see something, if closely you peer,
A light through the slush, and a male's voice screaming, "Hello?! Is there somepony out here!?"

The young martial artist walks through the wintery cheer, looking through the snow with a straightforward peer. Now despite the fact that he had decent timing, Kuba himself wasn't too good at rhyming.

"Hello! Are you in trouble? Or do you at least have food!"

Cold and shivering, the goo pony was in a fright
That she would miss Daring Doo Saves Hearth's Warming tonight
She could feel her goo body start to stiffen
Like the stick up the ass of almost every griffon

"It's too flippin' cold," the goo filly began to bemoan
"How much longer until we are home?
And will somepony carry me the rest of the way?
I feel more like I'm a pony of clay!"

But hark, what's this, a figure is in sight
But in this weather, it gave the filly a slight fright.
"I dunno guys," she says with a whimper
"What if this guy is some deadly, holiday drifter?
My mommy told me about them and what they do
To ponies out in storms. Especially ones made of goo."

The light approaches and at last you see who's found you here,
Why it's an impressively sized talking reindeer.
He shakes snow from his horns and you can clearly see his face,
And what you see next causes your minds to race.

The source of this reindeer's light isn't a lamp or a torch
Instead, his very NOSE is glowing quite orange, as bright and alluring as the bugzapper on your porch.

"My word! Look at all of you out here in the cold."
"Whatever would drive you all to try something so bold?"
He bows his head to the ground, "My name is Comet, and this storm is no joke! Please, follow me back to my village, little pony folk."
"We've got a spell keeping the storm at bay and many tasty delights, why don't you come back with me and we'll get you some place cozy for the night?"

"You had me at free food." Kuba says, shaking bits of snow out of his ponytail, thinking of desserts that are sold by the bale.

He steps through the snow after Comet, not stopping to roam, while wondering why everypony talked like a poem.

The little filly blurted out with immense glee.
She approached the reindeer quickly admist the storm
Spirit revigored at the thoughts of eating sweets somewhere warm.

"Wow a lot of people must freakin hate you." Lukewarm says without much sympathy for her cold fate. He reaches into his bag to pull a bottle of vodka and pops the cap off "Here this is an old crystal empire trick. Keep ya from turning into a popsicle" He then douses you with the harsh tasting soporific.

"Cool" is all Lukewarm says before following the reindeer.

The filly looks at this odd man with a bit of a glare
But then cowers as his booze falls from the air.

But as the booze was absorbed, her stomach did turn

Seeing others group around the figure in a distance, he walks towards it, again, with much difficulty. Difficulty.

Upon seeing the figure's appearance, he looks left, then right, all the while staring at his face.

"Huh! That's neat."

Then, hearing what he had to say, his own face lights up.

He leads on through the slush for maybe five minutes or ten,
And eventually the whole storm seems to suddenly end.
You see a slight shimmer of magic, a massive barrier all around,
And far up ahead, nestled at the base of a mountain, you see a brightly lit town.

"Here we are friends! Just up ahead is my village of Yule."
"Let's get you all down there, greeting guests warmly is our number one rule!"
He calmly trots down a stone path leading into the city,
And the first thing you notice is this place is incredibly pretty.

Imagine the biggest, most decorated Hearth's Warming house you know
Now put it on EACH house and double it, as far as the eye goes.
Tinsel and ribbons are as common as air, and every block is gussied up with flair.
Wreaths and candy canes and snow all around: why there's even just random toys laying all over the ground!

And what catches your eyes after that, when you're done with the sights,
Is the source of many of these festive Hearth's Warming lights.
Much like your guide, Comet, you see there are reindeer all about,
And each one has a vibrant bulb on their snout.
Reds and blues and greens, every color you know
These Reindeer's muzzles glow with a bright vibrant glow.

And as if there were just one more surprise to be shared
You notice many of these reindeer are walking on thin air.
Without a wing to be seen, they float and soar with ease
Passing between houses saying hello like a passing breeze,
A few fly over head, shouting "Happy Hearth's Warming!" to you below,
As they spiral like pegasi putting on a show.

Comet turns around after leading you in, smiling widely with a jolly Hearth's Warming grin,
"So what do you think of our quaint little town? We're happy to have you here, so please stick around!"

That greedy gesture for Hearth's warming cheer put a prick in Lukewarm's rear.

He pours whatever his flask caught into his mouth. It's not much, it's kind of sad. Glad, mad, bad, uh, mad.

Kuba looks around wide-eyed at all the pretty sights, amazed at the numerous Yule-season lights.

He stops short on their tour as he looks to the sky, seeing the reindeer winglessly fly.

"Its a really pretty town. Like Hearth's Warming only even warmer. Like, Hearth's Hotter. Hearth's Steamy. Hearth's Tropical. Huh."

"So where's the food? I could really go for some gingerbread cookies, or fudge-turkey. I love me some fudge-turkey."

Upon entering the magic barrier, he stops for a bit to enjoy the warmth, right before falling flat on his face for an inexplicable reason.

"Aw, dang it," he says, face still on the ground.

He gets up, and following still, trying to avoid tripping on any toys, he sees all the festive lights and sights (and white, kites, mites, sights)...

And shakes his head, "I'm so sorry to disappoint but unless you have wings, only reindeer fly in this town."
"But maybe," he goes looking around, and finds a pair of snow hoof-boots,
"This will keep you from slipping under hoof?"

Another reindeer flies down, this one with a nose of blue,
And he skids to a stop right next to the pony of goo.
"Hello little ponies! My name is Prancer, and for those who hunger like beasts,"
"I'll lead you all down to the Pre-Hearth's Warming Flight Feast!"

The two reindeer float on high as they take you around the town,
Their hooves never quite touching the ground,
"You see," Comet explains, "All reindeer here have the power to soar"
"Because we have an important task in store."
"Every Hearth's Warming," Prancer says "there are many fillies and colts across many a neighborhood"
"Who don't get the presents they deserved for being so good!"

You all pass many big workshops on the right,
"Which is why our main export is, wait for it, TOYS! And every Hearth's Warming Night,"
"We find out what every deserving foal wants to find at day's break,"
"And in the night we secretly deliver it right to them, for their precious hearts' sake."

Comet licks his lips, "And before we go out on this marvelous task,"
"We fill up our bellies with food and egg-nog in our flasks!"
He points up ahead at a very large cabin next to a TREMENDOUSLY huge Hearth's Warming Tree,
"And inside there is where we eat up, so go in and have at thee!"

Kuba flies alongside Prancer and Comet.

"So wait, you guys are REAL Hearth's Warming reindeer? That explains why you're so strong. You have to be!" the martial artist says with confidence.

Kuba looks over when Comet points out the food cabin, a moment later nothing there but a Kuba shaped dust cloud [that Minty presumably chokes on]

Gift advances and glances and dances and prances,
she runs with her hooves to the great tree's expanses!
A dinner with reindeer? Who knows what that's like!
This sensory overload makes Gift Wrap feel like a tyke!

Still freezing his nickers off Luke marches in the snow toward the barrels off eggnog, while his arms are wrapped around him. He throws his back onto the ground and lets the tap drain the froth into his gullet.

Did Steve yell aloud.

"Working? In Winter?"
He whispered to the others,

He gets right back up in a blur, blink and you'd think he'd been standing the whole time. Lime, slime, blime. His mouth starts to water as instantly.

Hold up, though, dear pony pretenders, if he has two hooves up, what's keeping him balanced?

Oh, nothing. He falls on his back. He grumbles a bit.

As you all enter the cabin, it does not disappoint
For there is indeed countless things to make a meal of in the joint.
There are a dozen wooden tables each over a dozen dozen yards long
And across each are platters of yummy shared among reindeer in song.

They sing and they eat and they eat and they sing
And across the halls many bells jingle and ring.
The merriment is so palpable, you could cut it with a knife,
Every face you see is so filled with life.

A place has been made special for you, as if in advance.
Close to the front, and to it Prancer does prance.
It has each of your favorites, too many to name,

Lukewarm pops in the earplugs at the first sign of singing and goes straight for the eggnog taps. It's the only thing that fills him with warmth. As the clatter and ruckus occurs with the deer storming out to protect their gifts. Lukewarm is completely oblivious, for the moment still indulging in eggnog.

The Father takes off and shouts, "Please, take care of those icy beasts!"
"So we may hurry on and get back to our joyous feasts!"

The evil snowponies turn towards you and give a mean grin,
Before roaring and stampeding towards you through the toy workshop, as combat begins.

The explosion of frost and snow hits all who are near,
Blasting them towards the onlooking reindeer

The nearby toy workshops are leveled, many streets disheveled
Kuba is as close to death as a pony can be (0/1)
While Minty is blasted backwards into a low-hanging tree (0/3)
Slippy is covered in a thick torrent of ice (0/3)
And Gift Wrap, thanks to her ribbon, was actually feeling quite nice (5/6 because eff yu Inure)
