To show her what it's like Discord grants her his powers for a day, like Riker, and dares her not to cause chaos. She tries not to use the powers at all but she has to defend Ponyville from some threat and then she tries to be nice to her friends and give them what they desire most. Anyway it's a total disaster and lessons are learned.
