I know that some of the buildings in AWOG are based off of real places in Cali but the schools in EqG are quite a stretch. Also if they ever decided to make a non animated EqG: FsG they'd probably take a modern approach for CHS.

Anyhow a Canterlot equivalent could include West Madison High in Wisconsin..
