Can't remember where I saw this, but I recall reading some 40K fluff about Imperial dudes taking apart some captured Ork gunz and finding nothing but bits of random junk inside them, and them being completely baffled as these should not have worked in any way but Orks were shooting guys dead with these thing just hours previously.
Caveat: It wouldn't suprise me if I imagined this and am in fact full of shit. Whatevs.
