She basically described herself as a defense and assault specialist. So think Midnight but with better defense and instead of being slow and with a heavy weapon she's able to charge into combat and run distraction, guard other teammates and hold the frontline.

If anyone is a basic grunt it's Ash until she gets onto a gunner's chair.
