I think that would depend on when during the galactic civil war he comes from. Earlier in the war he probably is still reeling over the loss of Padme so may be more prone to straddling the line between light and dark.

During the rise of the Rebel Alliance probably still is evil as fuck but has ulterior motives may wish to augment his power in the dark side with magic to find a way to overthrow his Sith master "These Ponies and their magic could proove invaluable to my plans if turned to the dark side"

as of ANH probably pretty much does whatever palpy or tarkin tells him to do.

Post Empire strikes back. possibly has a rekindling of home to find a means of overtaking the emperor again.

Post ROTJ Vader dies he appears as a force ghost to luke (Prowse version not that fucking hayden version...) Force ghost passes on and awakens in ponyville. (probably redemed now so who knows.)
