I have a lot of beef mince I got from Aldi in my freezer, I figure that is at least 60% horse.
Not that I care, if it tastes fine that's all that matters to me.

I would never willingly eat horse for the same reason I wouldn't eat dog meat.
Dogs and horses have had a symbiotic relationship with humans since the dawn of our species.
Wouldn't feel right to eat something that we've established such a bond with.
Plus, horses and dogs are just smart enough to emulate human behavior to better bond with us, can't munch on something that tries so hard to be my bro.

Has anyone tried horse meat? How does it compare to beef? I'd try it but I don't think I've ever seen a place that sells it.

never tried it but everything I have heard is its a lot like beef but leaner and has a bit of a gamey taste.

Based on the deer I have ate it sounds like it tastes like somewhat of a cross between beef and venison.

Would buy horse meat if it was sold at a price comparable to beef near where i live simply because i prefer lean meat and I would like to try it.

I stopped eating it a year or two before MLP:FiM.
I liked the taste but I figured I liked equines as much as I liked dogs and cats, putting them in the pet category.
Then again rabbits can be pet category too but I don't give a shit about eating rabbit.

I've started eating stuff like bison, kangaroo and ostrich occasionally instead.

If so then you've probably eaten horse.

Having some later as a matter of fact. Had horse meat sausage before too, tasted kind of weird but in a very good way. You can definitely taste and especially feel the difference
