The story is fairly vanilla with it's kinks, doesn't really explore the xenophiliac aspect (physically).
A lot of focus is put onto the difference between human and pony society (think RGRE), but in my opinion a large part of it feels superficial and/or unrealistic.

The romance parts are pretty cheesy as far as I'm concerned;
It's up to you whether you like that or not.

What the author does well and what I personally like is to give an accurate model of the scenes.
What I mean by this is that at any given point you can seamlessly imagine the scene in your head and accurately imagine where and in what position each character/object is right now.

The writing is of course mostly subjective, I found it to be good, although a little cheesy at times.

The grasp on Twilight's character felt pretty accurate to me;
To me Rainbow Dash feels slightly off though that may simply be because I interpret the character differently.

Lero has no significant character traits to speak of which is fine by me considering the nature of the story.

Overall I'd consider it an above-average story.

You can tell from many of these posts the anons haven't read the story. I'm rereading it now, so here's a tldr:

Rainbow has a crush on a human, and acts on it, finds out it's reciprocated. They fuck and develop a relationship. Eventually Twilight joins their "herd" and so does Lyra. They have to deal with the differences in pony and human attitudes, racism, and the human's fear of Princess Sunbutt - caused by the manner of his arrival in Equestria, which is left unexplained in Xenophilia proper, but detailed in "What Came Before." There isn't any adventure or serious conflict, it's basically an extended slice-of-life fapfic.

Overall, I would say its' a wonderful story. The writing itself is fairly average, which is to say great for a fanfic, and there is imho, too much sex, but the detail in the world, and the authors' pretty decent grasp of the characters is appealing. The world and Equestrian society are well thought-out, and if you're a fan of the RGRE genre you'll probably like it.

However, the story itself is only the tip of the iceberg. There's a great deal more detail given in the Xenophilia: Sidestories, Cultural Norms, and Shotglass Oneshots. You will definitely appreciate those if you enjoy worldbuilding.

Xenophilia, it's been a while....
This thing started out as a greentext literally years ago, and desu it shows a little.
The author got pestered to fill in more bits then eventually got fed up and fucked off, and at some point a thoughtful fag picked up all the bits of green and transplanted them onto fimfic so others can subject themselves to it's joys/horrors.

As others have pointed out is it cheesy as fuck, which in my case happens to be a plus (I love shit like that). If you're not into cheese though it will be a major downer.
Also, I find 'inscecure cuddleslut dash' to be hillarious.

The clop is okay, and depends again on your (dis)like of cheese.
What grabbed me about this ball of faggotry though, is the all the stupid details that go into making everything else up. As a result, some of the side stories and spin-offs are a better read as they're much heavier on 'fluff'.

I remember being p. fascinated by all the bits about why ponies do the shit they do, and in particular how Rainbow is secretly a huge ball of neuroses.
I never gave a single shit about all the magical fairy horrors that were vaguely hinted at.

It's not going to be the best thing you'll ever read, but it'll be far from the worst.

It's a Herd Life is a much nicer read. One of my favourites is a shortfic and part of the 'side stories' called Fish out of Water.
Character development is my catnip, and this this has development for one of the ponies who has been giving grief to our soulless ginger protagonist.
