I think you'll adore season 6. The plots are hardly character-driven at all. It's really mean and funny, and everyone's treated like absolute shit except for Glimmer, the new main character.

Do you mean you look out for cute screencaps for cute ponies doing cute things? Because I'd absolutely love it if I could say the show was cute ponies doing cute things, but there's nothing cute or endearing about these mean, conflict-driven plots and mistreatment of characters I care about. Sure, I can look out for a gif of Sweetie Belle eating cake and enjoy it, but it doesn't convince me that I can enjoy the show for being "cute ponies doing cute things", when I remember how crude the rest of that episode was.

It's not character driven in that, in most of these episodes, the characters could have been replaced by other characters and the shitty plot would have been the same. Carts Before the Ponies only used the crusaders as generic children and their sisters as totally OOC plot-pieces to antagonize them. There was no personality to it whatsoever, and it's the same with a lot of other episodes, too. Just because that shockingly boring casino episode had Applejack in it didn't mean it was about Applejack.
