Last time, Holiday Special returned to the inn to see if the innkeeper's kindhearted daughter left any way of contacting her during the day, when she and most other townsfolk would be asleep. Imagine Holiday's relief (and surprise) when she found not only a note, but also a plate of the bat mare's namesake dessert, ready and waiting for Holiday! The brownies were cold, but otherwise quite tasty, and the note simply said to wake Brownie up if Holiday needed anything. So, Holiday did just that, presenting the pajamaed bat with the scarf Holiday had bought her and asking if Brownie would like to get together over a cup of coffee.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your point of view), the slightly ditzy bat misinterpreted Holiday's gift and request as an invitation to a date! Uncertain yet willing, Brownie agreed, inviting Holiday to accompany her in such fun dating activities as discussing the validity of later expansion Pockepon designs, having heated boop battles, and... I forget what else. It's been awhile since the last thread. Oh, well. At least the coffee is just about ready.

Day 6
1:25 PM
HP: 100%
MP: 100%
Bits: 41
Inventory: 1 apple core, 1 town hall key, 1 Twilight's record, 1 divining stick, 1 looking glass
Status: Cautiously optimistic

This is where your quest continues...

Drink some of that coffee and try to sit next to brownie instead of across from her. Operation snuggling will commence.
>>
>>28979762
I dunno, that might be coming on too strong too soon. Just grab some coffee.
>>
>>28979743
Is Pockepon just a bunch of collectables and toys or is it a video game too? Offer to play with her or something.
>>
>>28979743
Hmmm. Would Pocketpon be one of those things that irritate Holiday?
>Celestia fucking damn cheap plastic toys! So damn small they're a choking hazzard! I should sue their fucking ass for making suck an abomination!
How come she's not like this?
>>
Damn we are poor. Short term we might have enough for the friendship goal to NOT get banished, but long term? eeeeeehhhhh

Holiday smiles as she sits up.
>"Really? Well, I think you're doing pretty well so far."
"Aww, stop it..." Brownie says shyly, helping Holiday up.
>"Thanks. No, really! I'm kind of the same way, pretty much. Except I like to stay in my toy shop."
"Toy shop?" Brownie says excitedly as the coffee maker goes off. The bat mare pours Holiday a styrofoam cup of coffee, then fills her own mug with it. "You own a toy shop?! Dat sounds sooooo cool!! What kinds of toys do ya like ta make? And can ya make figurines?" She's quiet for a second. "...I'm just asking 'cuz I'm curious."
>>
>>28979743
Right. Takin bout tha toy shop. Gonna guess, 'yes', holiday can make figurines.
>>
>>28979831
>>28979743
Yeah we can make figurines. It's been a long while though.
>>
>>28979743

Holiday grunts with affirmation as she sips her coffee. It's not bad... for nonalcoholic.
>"Mmm. It's been a while, but I can make figurines, no problem. Big wooden ones though. Not those shitty little plastic ones that foals swallow and fucking choke on."
Brownie's eyes twinkle as she lowers her mug. "Even better!" she chirps, her lips curling in a big, toothy grin. "I'd love ta see one sometime! Or what if, maybe, ya could make me one...?! ...I-I'd pay for it, of course."
>"Sure. Well, 'tis the giving season and all, so maybe I can squeeze you in on my list somewhere."
Holiday winks, which makes Brownie squeak and bounce on the edge of the bed with excitement.
>"So, any ideas what kind of figurine you'd like?"
Brownie's eyes dart to one of the stickers plastered all over her walls, then to another, then a third. "Ohhh, dat's a tricky one..." she mumbles thoughtfully. "Dere's just so man options, ya know?"
Holiday chuckles.
>"I think I have an idea of what you might like... So, uh, what is this 'Pockepon' thing anyway? Is it just like toys and stuff, or are there games too?"
The look on Brownie's face tells Holiday that she just asked the million bit question. "Dere's a few different games, actually!" she replies in the 'I'm going to be talking for awhile voice.' And so, as desperate as Holiday is, she sits and listens to the bat prattle on about card games and arcade games and how several schools banned Pockepon because one of the fucking things had a picture of an eclipse on its chest or something.
"...But yeah," Brownie finally says, seeming to register Holiday's presence again for the first time since she started talking, "I don't have any of dat stuff... I do have a bunch of figurines dat I made my OWN game out of, dough!" She gives Holiday a hopeful grin. "Do you want ta play a round?"
>>

As annoying as Holiday is finding all of this, she can't bring herself to interrupt or yell at the geeky bat just yet. Something about those bright, sparkly eyes just goes right to her cold, dead heart.
>"Ah... Yeah, sure, what the hay. Why not?"
"Yay!" Brownie cheers, throwing her hooves up.
>"You'll have to remind me of some of the rules, though."
"Okay!"
With a chipper smile and a nod, Brownie hops down and rummages through a chest near the door. After pulling one drawer open, she invites Holiday over to look inside.
>'Oh shit.'
The drawer is full of colorful little figurines of all sorts of plants and animals. Dragons, dinosaurs, sea serpents, pony-eating plants, giant bugs, rock monsters, dogs, cats, birds, and all sorts of other creatures of every color of the rainbow fill the drawer almost to the point of overflowing.
"We each start off with a team of up ta six Pockepon!" Brownie explains. "Den we give dem instructions ta have dem fight each oder!" Brownie goes to another drawer and pulls out a booklet of some kind. "After dat, we roll da dice ta determine who takes damage, and how much. Damage comes off a Pockepon's 'hit points,' and if a Pockepon's hit points fall ta zero, dat Pockepon faints and ya have ta replac it with anoder one. Da first pony ta lose all her Pockepon is da loser, and... dat's about it!"
>"Okay. Sounds easy enough..."
"Here, you'll need dis more often dan me." Brownie says, handing Holiday the booklet she'd gotten from her drawer. "It's got all da Pockepon's moves and stats in it. I just round da stats ta da nearest ten. It makes da math easier." Brownie smiles sweetly and goes back to the first drawer, rummaging through her figurines. "Just tell me how many Pockepon ya want and which ones! I got pretty much all of dem." She waves a hoof in a mock scolding manner. "But no Demis~!" She pauses, then giggles. "Well... Okay. You can have one Demi, since you're a newbie."

I thought it was interesting too, but the undertale likeness triggered a bunch of autists in the general thread, and Inept decided it would be best to cancel it.

They're meming. GaT is alive and well. It just got held up along with this the past week and a half due to a combination of burnout, IRL drama, and holiday stuff. It'll be going up again after this thread 404's, don't worry.

Anyway, since that trip to the store took about two hours longer than it needed to, I'm just going to say that we might as well call it a night. Sorry, guys. Thanks for like the twentieth time for staying FiT in spite of all the bumps in the road. I'll see you tomorrow. Or later, if you live east of the Ohio River valley.

Taking the booklet, Holiday inwardly stifles a sigh. She already knows she's going to get annoyed by this. She trots over to the drawer, then glances at Brownie. Brownie smiles at her.
>'Only because it'll make her happy.'
Just then, Holiday gets a sneaky idea.
>"Let's make this interesting. Winner has to do whatever the loser says, deal?"
Brownie pauses, a surprised look on her face. She quickly nods and shakes Holiday's hoof. "Sounds like it could be fun! Deal!"
>"Heheh... Cool. So, you said to pick six, right?"
"If ya want to have a full battle, sure!" Brownie answers, her smile widening.
>"Alright."
Holiday rummages through the pile of figurines for one she likes. It doesn't take her long to find one: an orange pony with dragon wings and a flaming tail.
>'These things might be cooler than I thought!' Holiday takes that one first. Her next choice takes a bit longer to find: a white Earth pony with a flaming mane and hooves. A gold and black unicorn with a big shield and a sword for a horn catches her eye, but she remembers Brownie's negative opinion on that one, so she ignores it. As Holiday keeps rummaging, though, she starts losing what little patience she possesses. She holds out long enough to add an angry blue seapony with a mustache to her collection, but by that point she's gotten bored. She halfheartedly sifts around for a few more seconds before giving up, grabbing her last candidates purely at random.
>"Okay, I'm ready."
Brownie nods and takes her turn, picking out her choices with speed and certainty. Holiday just sees them as a blur of color, but she spots an armored green pony with sharp claws among them that makes her wish she'd grabbed it first.
"I'll lead off with Ponygon2!" Brownie announces confidently, setting her figurine down. "Which of your Pockepon should I mop da floor wit first?"

"Check da book I gave ya." Brownie advises, looking over Holiday's choices. "Dose are Charohbred, Poneta, Gyaradraft, Weedling, and Whorlrein. If ya look on da bottom of dem, you'll see deir Ponedex numbers. Match dem to da numbers in da book and ya'll see deir stats and attacks and stuff."
Holiday checks the underside of the figurines; sure enough, they all have a tiny number etched into their bellies or tails.

"What'd you say?"
"I said I'm gonna need snacks for this. Be right back."
"Oh, okay. I'll set everything up while you're gone!"
Holiday trots out and heads back to her room to grab the plate of brownies the bat mare had left her. She has a bit of a headache from all of Brownie's chatter. As good as those brownies are, Holiday is beginning to wonder if they're worth listening to Brownie's dumb accent and playing with her dumb toys.

Holiday shakes her head and slaps herself.
>'No, no, NO! I've squandered every other chance I had this week; I can't afford to fuck this one up too!'
Holiday grabs the plate of brownies and heads back. Brownie has set up some sort of little playmat and set her figures up on one side of it. There are a few dice scattered around as well, not to mention a pile of bits whose purpose isn't clear yet. Brownie looks up and smiles widely as Holiday enters. She's shed her pajamas, but the scarf Holiday got her remains around her neck.
"Hey. Ya must really like dose brownies, huh?" the bat asks.
>"They're real damn good. Very dense and fudgey."
"Thanks! My own special recipe." Brownie answers. "Maybe if ya beat me I'll tell ya my secret ingredient... So, did ya decide who you're starting with yet?"

I've . . . . Never played pokemon this intensely before. This is gonna take me some time. Hey inept, what kind of pokepon is this, polypon2 - Whatever it was Brownie played?
>>
>>28987403
The pokemon it's based off of is porygon2.
>>
>>28987370
Lets try using Crunch, then.
The "manual" says Ponygon2 has a lower physical defense, so a physical attack would do more damage, right? We don't have any fighting moves, and everything except ghost is neutral effectiveness, so type doesn't matter much. Crunch is one of the stronger physical moves Walrein can learn.

Are we limited to level up moves, or can we use all moves the Pockepon can learn, including TMs and egg moves?
>>
>>28987370
I've never played at all, can we just flip a coin to determine the outcome of all this?

I'm not a /vp/ autist or anything, but I have played the games. I'm more of a PMD type guy myself though. I'm just looking throught the information on serebii.

Looking through the move list, Body slam might be another possibility. It's about 5 points stronger and has a chance for paralysis, but Crunch also reduces defense, so it would do a bit more damage each turn.
Blizzard is also good, it's the strongest move Walrein can learn, but it's accuracy is kinda low.
>>
>>28987566
>>28987630
The Pockepon we are using was determined in Inepts post by the post number. Our Pockepon is already picked. All we can really do now is start giving commands for attacks.

Brownie smiles confidently as Holiday sets the appropriate figurine on the battlefield.
"He looks tough..." Brownie admits, before a mean smile spreads over her face. "But Ponygon2 can handle him wit a Tunderbolt!"
Holiday isn't sure how to respond to that.
"...Psst, hey!" Brownie whispers to Holiday. "Dis is where you pick a move! Den we roll da dice based on deir accuracy and apply damage and stuff accordingly."
>"Oh... Uh, okay."
Holiday looks in her booklet, first at Ponygon2 http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-sm/233.shtml, then at Whorlrein http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-sm/365.shtml.
>"Uhhhh, I'll use... Crunch?"
Brownie grabs a piece of paper and a pencil. "Okay, let me just calculate dis..." she mumbles.
>"Go for it. I can't validate this for myself."
Brownie scribbles some numbers down, humming a song to herself as she works. https://youtu.be/qqzmAIWAOFs After a few seconds, she rolls her dice. An 8 comes up. She smiles and then slides a few bits over to Holiday. "Each of dese represents 10 hit points of damage." she explains. "Dis is how many Whorlrein took from a super effective attack."
>'Fuck.'
>"Okay..."
"And dis is how many Ponygon2 took." Brownie slides far fewer bits towards her Pockepon. "Round 2! What will you do next? I think anoder Tunderbolt will be my move, hee hee!"

The only thing we may have fucked up is not using blizzard, but it probably wouldn't have OHKOd Brownies mon anyway, if it even managed to hit in the first place, so we'd be in the same position we are now.
We used Crunch, not bite. Compared to rock smash, Crunch has twice the attack power, and the exact same effects. Depending on how exactly the multiplier is applied, both moves will do about the same damage taking into account type weaknesses.
We're probably fucked either way unless we luck out on how much damage we take, or unless Brownie is taking into account speed checks and we luck out there.

All of these stats and names are giving Holiday sensory overload! Deep down inside, that angry voice of hers continues to nag that this is an autistic waste of time and that she should just pick whatever random moves will get it over the fastest.
But seeing Brownie smile and hum her Pockepon songs quickly stuffs a sock in that voice's mouth. Holiday soon finds herself channeling her anger in a different way: competitiveness. Her dour expression shifts down to Brownie's Ponyfuck2.
>'I am going to crush that fucking smiley little dildo with my Whore-rein... No, Whorlrein.'
Holiday chuckles.
>'Heheh. Whore-rein.
>And then I am going to cuddle and smooch the fuck out of that cute marechild.'
Brownie's confident smile silently taunts the unicorn.

2/2

Holiday makes a 'T' with her hooves and opens her rule book.
>"Time out. I have questions."
Brownie seems pleased by that. "Ask away!"
Holiday looks up Ponygon2's attacks.
>'She used Thunderbolt. A TM attack. I bet that means I can use them, too.'
>"I have 3 attacks left besides Crunch, right?"
"Yup!"
>"Can I use ANY attack for them? Even 'Transfer Only' moves like Whirlpool?"
Brownie nods. "Any move is fine!" she confirms. "TM's, HM's, Tutored moves, moves from retired Expansions... Anyting goes!"
>'Okay, that's good. That's real good.'
Realizing Ponygon2 is weak to Fighter attacks, Holiday quickly turns to Whorlrein's entry again in search of one.
>'Rock Smash might be my best bet, but it doesn't look too strong. If it doesn't kill Dickgon2 in one shot, my Whorlrein is fucked.
>Unless...'
>"Am I allowed to switch to a different Pockepon?"
"Yes," Brownie answers, "but switching takes da place of attacking, so your new Pockepon is probably going ta take a hit."
>'Shit... I wonder if there's a way I can block that.'
Holiday scours the page for more information.
>"What are these Abilities for?"
"Dose are special powers dat a Pockepon has aside from its attacks." Brownie explains. "I wasn't planning on using dem since you're new and dat might be a bit too much for ya ta handle..."
>'ExCUSE me?!'
"...But we can start using dem if ya want!" Brownie finishes. "Just make sure ya stick wit whatever one ya pick. Dey can't be changed once dey're set.
Any oder questions?"
>>
>>28992408
>"...But we can start using dem if ya want!"
Fuck. We should've kept our trap shut. Use whirlppool.
>"The user traps the target in a violent swirling whirlpool for four to five turns."
85% chance of hitting, low damage, vuv the status effect is pretty good. I say use this. It's a swing and a miss. Go hard or go home.
>>
>>28992471
But if our pokemon faints then the damage stops.

>>28992408
Switch out for Groudon. Basically everything we have except Oddish is faster than Porygon2, and Groudon even has some good fighting moves like Brick Break.
>>
>>28992408

> 'Yeah that's right. You went down like a little bitch, and I'm coming for you five other friends next. Can you hear that you little shit? >>28992490
What do you mean? Are you saying Whirlpool traps both pockeypon?
>>
>>28992493
. . . What.
>>
>>28992502
I'm saying it's thunderbolt spamming and it'll take us out. Whirlpool just prevents the opposing pokemon from swapping, and if the pokemon that uses whirlpool swaps or leaves the field, the effect ends.

We won't get value out of whirlpool.
>>

I don't think Holiday is quite that autistic.

>>

>>
>>28992408
Just use crunch again. If we manage to get a hit in before fainting, it'd be better to use something we know will take it out instead of something that'll cause a status effects that won't matter because either it will faint immediately after or we will faint before we can do anything.

It has low enough health that Crunch will take it out if we hit. It doesn't make a difference.

But now that I think about it, we could do like >>28992490 said and switch to Groudon. The type advantage moves probably won't make a difference with it's health this low, any move will probably take it out, but Groudon will absorb the electric attack and won't take any damage at all.

Brownie gives some sort of salute. "You're da boss!" she chirps.
>"Now... I'm going to use Whir-"
She pauses and looks back at the damage that that attack does. It's too low for a kill shot, and it doesn't seem like it works the way Holiday thought.
>"...On second thought, I'm using Crunch again."
Brownie nods and does more math and dice-rolling. She puts two more bits beside her figurine, then smiles and clears her throat. "Okay, Ponygon2," she says jovially to her figurine, "finish it wit a Tunderbolt!"
She picks her figurine up and thrusts it at Holiday's, making thunderous noises with her mouth as she knocks the Whorlrein figure over.
Holiday glares daggers at the pink figurine.

Holiday relaxes a bit.
>"Oh. Wait, I'm confused, do more bits mean more health?"
"No no, each bit is a damage marker." Brownie explains. "Dey represent 10 hit points each. Ponygon2 has 50 hit points left after two Crunches."
>"Uh-huh."
"I know it's a bit confusing." Brownie answers, scratching the back of her head. "Hold on." She gets up and goes to her table, then comes back with some markers. She scribbles each bit with them so they're red on one side and blue on the other. "Dere! Dat should help."
Holiday nods. This new setup makes more sense to her. Slightly.
>"Okay, I'm sending this guy out now."
Holiday telepathically removes the Whorlrein figurine from the mat and replaces it with the big red stallion she'd grabbed last. Holiday looks back up just in time to see Brownie's eyes widen.
"Groutlaw..." she mumbles, her ears twitching thoughtfully. "Da Landmass Demi... Dis just got interesting." Brownie looks up at Holiday. "Too bad my Ponygon2 knows Ice Beam. Hee hee!" Brownie's smirk turns into an innocent smile. "Your next move...?"

Here's what we do. We're actually still faster than Milotic. We should use sunny day to half the power of its water type attacks, negating hydro pump's super effectiveness.

(Normally you wouldn't have to do this cause Groudon has drought.)
Then next turn we can use solarbeam.
>>

We could even sneak in a sunny day on her if she tries to swap or use a less effective pokemon. Then we could fuck her up with overwhelming fire attacks for 5 turns and refresh it in time for Milotic to come back.

Roar always goes last and hydro pump from milotic is almost a guaranteed oneshot.

Holiday takes a second glance down at her Groutlaw figure.
>'That thing is pretty fierce-looking... I wonder if I could make a figurine of it. It'd look awesome if I can get dark magic to stick to it.
The unicorn takes a brownie and munches on it as she sifts through the pages of her rulebook.
>'Or maybe I could make this Reignice thing. It looks like crystal already anyway.
>Uh, right.
>Hydro Pump.
>Shit... This looks bad.'
Holiday steals a glance up at Brownie from time to time. The bat mare looks much more tense now. In fact, she's sweating a little. Holiday can't help but smile.
>"You know, you're cute when you're all serious."
Brownie gives a huffy look. "I'm not trying ta be cute!" she snaps, a bit more sharply than she probably meant. "I'm trying ta focus! Dis is a serious battle!"
The unicorn chuckles.
>"Alright, alright, keep your scarf on...~"
>'Hey... This move weakens Water attacks.
>And it pairs well with this other one that'll do a lot of damage to Milatigo.'
>"My move will be Sunny Day!"
Brownie looks surprised, and then her eyes narrow. She growls softly and does her calculations, then applies the appropriate damage. Holiday breathes a sigh of relief: Groutlaw survived. Brownie fetches a small flashlight from the drawer her other 'battle supplies' were kept, and she sets it up so it shines down on the battle arena. After that, she is silent for a long moment, as if trying to think.
"Milatigo," she finally says, "use Hypnosis."

Holiday blinks. She looks down at Groutlaw. She looks back at Brownie. Brownie looks confident again.
>"...Solarbeam."
All the color drains from her face. Holiday's eyes widen in surprise.
>'Did... Did she just FORGET that Groutlaw is faster?'
Slowly, Brownie does her calculations. As she works through them, the color starts returning to her face, and by the time she finishes, she breathes a sigh of relief before applying the damage.
>'Shit, she survived.'
Brownie then rolls her dice. Her every facial muscle clenches with anger.
"Hypnosis missed." she says simply. Her nostrils flare a bit as she breathes now. "...I'm switching Pockepon. Make your move."
She withdraws Milatigo, then pushes another figurine out. She keeps it covered with her hoof, looking up at Holiday expectantly.

Holiday smiles to herself behind the veil of the rulebook her snootle is buried in.
>'Ohhh, I bet I can get her to lose her shit. That'd be HILARIOUS.'
>"I choose Focus Blast."
Brownie quietly stares back at Holiday.
Then she glances down. With a grin, she takes her hoof away.
"I choose Bliscinch!" she says, revealing a fat pink mare with a little nurse hat. Holiday gives the Pockepon a skeptical look, to put it politely.
>'What a fat fuck.
>...I kind of miss Butter Ball.'
Holiday's ruminations come to a slow, worrisome end when she sees the huge pile of bits Brownie is shoving up beside the new Pockepon.
>"What...?"
Brownie then does her calculations. Holiday starts to get nervous when she sees that Focus Blast did a little more than fuckall to the pink blob.
>"What the FUCK?"
"My move is Toxic." Brownie says, her cockiness back in full force. And as Holiday desperately checks the new Pockepon's stats and type http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-sm/242.shtml, it begins to dawn on her that that confidence might not be unwarranted this time...

We've picked all special moves for our groudon, which means we're kinda garbo against Blissy.

>>
>>29000332
>>29000340
Let me just spell out my game plan here.

Oddish can't win against Blissey. It probably has refresh and softboiled to heal up anything we do. So my plan is to absorb the toxic and use sleep powder to put it to sleep.
Then on our free turn (or if we get knocked out by a double edge), we swap to charizard and use brick break. Blissey has the worst defense in the game so it'll be an easy two shot.

Course, there are ways this can go wrong, but it's a plan.
>>
>>29000384
Putting full faith in you Anon. God bless...
>>
>>29000315
There's a limit on how many moves we can use?
>>
>>29000404
Pokemon can only learn 4 moves in the game.
If that's not the case then absolutely go for earthquake right now cause that's a guaranteed oneshot.
>>
>>29000404

Holiday beats a hasty retreat to the article outlining what Toxic does. The description of a steadily-intensifying poison does little to ease her nerves, but as she looks through it and the related articles, a certain line jumps out at her.
>''Venomous and Metallic Pockepon are immune to the effects of poison,' huh?'
She looks over her remaining figurines.
>'Weedling is part Venomous... Guess that's my best bet right now.'
>"I'm switching Groutlaw out for Weedling."
Brownie's smile falters for a second, but it quickly recovers. "Fine by me." she says, before giving her fatass Pockepon her next command: "Bliscinch, use Safeguard!"
>>
>>29000469
Ah, that was one of the things that can happen. That's fine. Oddish can just be fodder, as it's slower anyway.

Seed bomb on the off chance we don't die.
>>
>>29000503
Actually, come to think of is, Blissey's attack is so bad that it can't really do much to us. Even seismic toss is a 3hko on oddish.
>>
>>29000503
Well, we're using it on the same turn she uses safeguard presumably, so we survive at least one.
>>
>>29000469
Is it still sunny? If it is we could use solarbeam again.
>>
>>29000519
That's true, thank you, anon.
Seed bomb is our best attacking option, better than solarbeam, as it's physical and Blissey's defense is the worst in the game.
It might go for the softboiled after we hit it, which would be another free swap to charizard for the kill. but that's stally and I dunno if Inept really wants this to play out that long.

A devilish idea enters Holiday's mind. She looks over the rule booklet at Brownie with a sweet smile.
>"Hey, Brownie?"
The bat mare looks up, giving Holiday a poker face. "What?"
Holiday bats her eyelashes.
>"That Bliscinch of yours has some big crotchboobs..."
Brownie blushes a little and looks back down. "She's a healer." the bat tersely replies. "Her milk heals oder Pockepon. Dat's why she's a nurse."
>"You like mares with big, creamy teats, don't you, Brownie~?"
Brownie glares up at Holiday. Her cheeks are pink, but the look on her face is all business. "You going ta attack or what?" she snaps.
>"Okay, okay. Tough crowd."
Holiday finishes her brownie and flips back to Bliscinch's stat page with her game face on. It's then that she notices the fat bitch has a critical weakness.
>"My move will be Seed Bomb!"
Brownie's expression shifts again. She seems hesitant to run her calculations; when she finishes with them, Holiday is quite pleased to see that that one move nearly dropped her hit points to zero!
>'Just a bit more, Chubbs McGee...'
Brownie reaches over and switches off her flashlight. "Da sunlight fades." she announces flatly. "Bliscinch, use Wish."
>>
>>29000653
Switch to charizard. Do not let milotic get that wish.
>>
>>29000653
Wish: One turn after this move is used, the target's HP is restored by half the user's maximum HP.
>>
>>29000683
Current game plan, by the way.

Swap to charizard, swords dance, probably brick break to wipe blissey, (we may get poisoned), at which point blissey gets the wish, then we decide from there after we're set up.
Milotic will be an easy oneshot, and when we have +2 attack, it'll be quite hard to stop us.
>>
>>29000704
If Blissey swaps next turn, we go for belly drum instead.

One search to discover what Wish does, and Holiday realizes what Brownie's plan is. Not wanting to deal with Milatigo getting all her hit points back, Holiday takes a risk.
>"I'm swapping out Weedling for Charohbred."
Holiday makes the switch, which seems to surprise Brownie. She puts a hoof to her chin and thinks for a second. "Den I use Toxic!" she responds.
>>
>>29000886
Look at her while she focuses on the figures and say "Hey" a few times until she looks at us, probably in irritation. Then tell her we're having fun and smile at her.

Have ya'll never done this to a partner? It comes off as sweet 99% of the time.

Oh. Well the normal thing is that your partner is irritated and focusing on something, so you're intentionally bugging them until they look up in irritation at you. At that point you say/do something sweet and it melts the irritation away. Unless they're absolutely furious or the kind of person that wants to be mad (Holiday) they'll usually feel better due to the positive vibes.

>>
>>29000948
I have to admit. That does sound pretty cute.
>>
>>29000886
Let's hope out pokepon can tank the toxin long enough to use Swords dance then brick brake. If things are looking bad we can use Roost to recover lost health, or switch to Odish
>>
>>29000653
Oddish reminds me of Puppers ;n;
Look at the messy mane and that smile.
>>
>>29000953
The swords dance is setting up. It's looking beyond the Blissey and towards her next pokemon.

We'll be able to kill the blissey easily no matter what. However, if we can kill the milotic too, maybe her next pokemon, that would be even better, no?

Here's the team:
Us:
Walrein (faint)
Groudon (half)
Oddish (full)
Charizard (full, about to be poisoned)
Ponyta
Gyarados

Hers:
Porygon2 (faint)
Skarmory (faint)
Blissey (low, about to recover half)
Milotic (half)
?
?

If we get poisoned, we'll take 1 damage this turn, 2 the next, then 3, then we'll faint.
The first is setup, second is killing blissey, third is killing milotic, fourth is damaging her next pokemon.
Trading charizard for 2 dead pokes and damaging a third is totally worth it.

>"I use Swords Dance."
Brownie grumbles to herself. "Wish resolves." She flips a lot of the bits on Bliscinch, then one on Charohbred for Toxic's effect. Once she's done, she looks back up at Holiday, staring intently into the unicorn's eyes. "Bliscinch, Protect." is all she says.

Holiday looks back into Brownie's eyes. The bat is focused. Sweat is beading on her brow.
>"Brownie, do you want to stop?"
Brownie's determined expression evaporates like the foam on a cheap beer, replaced by the face of a little filly being told she can't get ice cream. "What?! No, nono, why would I want ta stop?"

Nope.

Toxic
Safeguard
Wish
Protect

That's four.

Protect: It enables the user to evade all attacks. Its chance of failing rises if it is used in succession

That's her second time using protect. I assume she didn't fail this round?

Ok. So far 2 stacks Swords Dance, and we're using Brick Break. That's three hits? Brick Break can break barriers and is a fighting type move, so if it hits it'Lloyd do double damage.

One more for Brick Break
>>

Brick Break doesn't break Protect though, so it can still be blocked.

Brick Breakv The user attacks with a swift chop. It can also break any barrier such as Light Screen and Reflect.

Protect is a kind of barrier. I really hope this move is effective against Protect, else we're screwed.

Holiday's ears twitch with annoyance, and she looks up at Brownie as if to say "Really?".
>"Come on, Brownie. That's not cool."
Brownie's smile falters. "Your Demi is Groutlaw." she answers simply. "Not Colicuno. Not Mesprint. GROUTLAW."
Snorting softly, Holiday checks the rulebook. Apparently, Protect only works perfectly on its first use; every use after the fact is exponentially more likely to fail.
>'Alright, time to knock that fat bitch on her ass.'
"My move is Brick Break."
Brownie grabs her dice, before realizing there's a problem. She sets the dice down, then takes a bit and flips it three times.
Heads.
Heads.
...Tails!
Brownie sighs dejectedly. "Protect fails..." Again not bothering with her calculations, she removes Bliscinch from the board. She then slides a few more bits onto Charohbred.
"Dis isn't over yet..." Brownie warns, sliding her next figurine forward. This one makes Holiday visibly recoil, as it seems to be made entirely of horns and wings!
>"What the fuck is THAT thing?"
"Dis is Alistar!" Brownie answers, apparently pleased by Holiday's surprise. "An artificial Pockepon made from alicorn DNA by the nefarious Cannon Crew in an attempt to hijack the Sun and Moon from the Princesses in order to stage a coup and take over New Equestria!"
>"...Nnnneat."
Brownie chuckles. "And it's going to use Surf!"

A quick glance at Alistar's stats tells Holiday all she needs to know.
>'Welp, I'm fucked. Gee gee, Charohbred.'
>"I'll use... Wing Attack, I guess. What does it matter now?"
Brownie glances at Holiday for a second, nd then she does her dice rolls and calculations. As expected, Charohbred doesn't survive the turn.
"It looks like da TIDE is turning...!" Brownie guffaws with a big stupid grin.
>'Urge to punch cute bat: rising.'
A purple glow surrounds Weedling, and the small figurine is sent back out onto the field.
"Safeguard expires." Brownie says, before turning her attention to Holiday's new Pockepon. "Alistar, use Ice Beam!"

Her patience and her attention span quickly whittling down, Holiday doesn't even look at her next figurine when she picks it. She has more pressing thoughts on her mind.
>"Hey, Brownie, you ever make coffee brownies?"
Brownie pauses. "...I tink so?" she answers after a moment of thought. "I might have lost da recipe, dough. Or maybe Papa told me not ta make dem anymore since dey kept da guests up all night." She chuckles and scratches the back of her neck sheepishly. Holiday can't help but join her.

Holiday finally settles on a Pockepon and tosses it into the fray.

This is dumb. I wouldn't want to fight her in the first place...unless it's wrestling. Bed wrestling. Pretty sure we'd win at that.

Iron tail then?

Holiday slowly looks up at Brownie.
>"...These Mega things are allowed?"
Brownie looks confused. "Yeah? Why wouldn't dey be?"
The vein in Holiday's head sticks out.
>"Why didn't you tell me before?!"
"None of my Pockepon have a Megagic form." Brownie smirks. "Yet."
>"What about mine?!"
Brownie tilts her head. "...What about yours?" she asks. "I'm not going ta tell ya how ta beat me. What do ya tink I can do against Megagic Charohbred AND Megagic Gyaradraft AND Primordial Groutlaw? I want a fair fight, not a steamroll. Like in da cartoon!" Brownie smiles cheerfully. "Besides, ya figured out all da oder stuff. What made ya tink Megagics were different?"
Holiday is quiet for a few seconds before grudgingly responding:
>"I... don't... know."
Brownie nods. "Well, ya know now." She reaches into her drawer and gives Holiday what looks like an even meaner version of Gyaradraft. "If ya want ta use it, go for it. You can cast Megagic and attack in da same turn, so take your best shot!"
Holiday narrows her eyes.
>"Oh, I will... I cast Megagic on Gyaradraft, and then I'll have it use Dragon Dance!"
"Den I'll switch out ta my strongest Pockepon!" Brownie announces with much bravado. She removes her Alistar figurine from the mat and pushes out that armored figurine that Holiday saw before they started. "I choose Tyreinitar."
Brownie chortles evilly. "And since ya can't do anyting ta stop it, I'll tell ya now: For my next move, I'm gonna cast Megagic ta turn her inta MEGAGIC Tyreinitar!"
The way she's speaking makes Holiday think that, to Brownie, this is the coolest thing ever.

Earthquake is probably our best option. Unless this game is taking into account STAB, in which case, Waterfall is our best option.

Stab?

So. Much. Rage. A pokepon that fits out mood.

Same type attack bonus. A move does more damage if it's the same type as the pokemon that uses it.
>>
>>29018626
Would rock smash getting the 4* bonus be stronger?
>>
>>29018537
After we destroy her party, we destroy her pussy.
>>
>>29018669
No. Here are the damage stats for our current boosts.

Rock Smash: 40x4*1.5=240
Earthquake 100*2*1.5=300
Waterfall 80*2*1.5*1.5=360

If STAB is in effect, Waterfall is our best choice.
>>
>>29018731
I say we use waterfall.
It's part rock type so it's a safe bet.
>>
>>29018738
With damage spread in-game, it's more than a 50/50 to oneshot with the +1 in attack, and no matter what attack it uses, it can't oneshot us.
We have the thing dead to rights, but it'll probably be able to get about half of our health before we can take it down.

On the bright side though, we're faster than Starmie with that dragon dance up, we can crunch that no problem, and even if a STAB crunch can't take Milotic out, and it should with it on half health, we still have a faster Groudon and Ponyta to chip the last piece of health away.

So we just won.

>"My move is Waterfall."
Brownie grins, showing off her teeth. "Tyreinitar transforms into Megagic Tyreinitar!" With the appropriate "power-up" sounds, Brownie swaps out Tyreinitar for an even spikier figurine. She does her calculations, brow furrowing as she crunches the numbers. She seems to hesitate for a moment before scribbling down her conclusions, and then she slides the appropriate counters into place.

Waterfall again. We're way faster and her team doesn't have prio.

Do it.

Tyreinitar used Superpower last turn, since I forgot to include that somehow. My mistake.

>"Waterfall again."
Brownie doesn't bother with a command. She knows Holiday has won, so she simply tips her own figure over.
"I guess dis is it, huh?" Brownie asks, giving Holiday a small smile. "You're better at dis den I tought... Well played." Brownie slowly pushes her remaining figures out onto the field. "Go on. Do your worst."
