I don't. All the locals I've found have been super autistic. And not endearingly so like some of you faggots, like I am uncomfortable being associated with them and they don't maintain normal personas they are always 'a brony'. Their facebook pages are filled with ponies, they wear pony or anime graphic tees, they are just too much. The best friends I've made inside this fandom have been at random here. One way or another I ended up adding them on steam, or skype, or email and we keep in contact. Fuck going to meetups and clubs they're 100% a cringe fest every time.

Man, strangely over the years I've made many brony friends (online) but they're like the least long lasting friends I've ever had....and no it's not because I'm crazy autistic or something, every one I ever made just one day goes away for seemingly no reason

I really just want someone who isn't an anonymous imageboard to share pone talk with but it seems not meant to be....I have some friends who are more casually into pone, but you can't really talk about it to the same lengths

I have very few horsefucker friends in my area but we don't hang out unless we meetup at conventions. casually hanging with each other out outside of conventions isn't what we do. Any other friends I have in the community is because we contribute so we have common ground about MLP and do online things together. There are plenty of ways you can make friends, you just gotta know where to look.

If you have Facebook you can probably find some local groups. If you're in college you can try finding some local nerd groups as well to meet people. Just be optimistic.

Not all, and the non-sperg ones are fucking great, because you can shoot the shit about horses, or other chan stuff (which is especially fun to do when drinking). Obviously that won't be the only thing to talk about, but it's fun to fall back on.

Finding normal ones is a fucking gamble and a half though. While I think more people than you think browse 4Chan, it's hard to find people that browse this board. The danger is, if they browse this stupid website, but not this board, and they find out you browse this board, there's a chance they'll have an autistic /v/ level prejudice.

I found out my anonbro browsed this board through a long ass process. Basically I asked him what boards he browsed, and I got a sense he was leaving some out. So (and this was during the Derpy controversy) I asked him if he browsed the board that recently censored a character because some deviantart autist with a big chin complained about it.

There are a lot of younger people and undesirables in this fandom. Also, the reason they also talk about anime at those meets is because people have other hobbies/interests than the horse. If you go there and they areen't your crowd, find some other group and see if they click better with you.

As a followup, I know you can enjoy cartoons but detest anime, but how can you not be a fan of animation and cartoons in general if you're into this show? The only reason I gave it a shit back in 2011 is because I enjoy cartoons n shit.
