Movie begins, Mane 6 are reintroduced in an eye-rollingly obvious fashion as if we've never seen them before, this will give viewers who aren't fans of the series an opportunity to understand their character traits.

Celestia or Twilight will be made aware of some threat that will...mumble mumble END OF THE WORLD

Twilight and company will embark on some noble "quest", that will involve some merchandised characters, they must work together to track down and overcome the Antagonist in question

A series of unfortunate events will land them back in Ponyville
The mane 6 have a drawn out battle with villain, the mane 6 will come close to defeating villiain, but through a means of misunderstanding/not having the right puzzle piece, the villain will triumph and granted Hasbro have the testicles a character will die off-screen. They will all cry or some shit.
Either A pokemon-esque tears of believing sequence will occur, or some other Deus ex machina that will bring said character back to life.
Mane 6 will use orbital friendship cannon, destroy the villain, and they will all ascend to alicorns

I want it to be more about characters interactions like the S6 finale rather than some non-stop EPIC ACTION stuff between songs to be quite honest family.
