I can't into lyrics but, with a song I'm working on (very formulaic), its structure is: intro, verse, chorus, verse, chorus, middle-eight, solo/instrumental, chorus, outro.
So, you can think of it as being made of chunks/building blocks of music. You can also have pre-chorus and breaks. Those are the only pieces I'm aware of and other music use different kinds of blocks (e.g: some genres of electronic music have builds, followed by drops).
I'd advise that you take those pieces and make a mixed-salad of them to make the song structure a little interesting. For example, although it's a bad example in terms of everything I've just said, Starry Sky (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LA37DbXmx9E) starts on a part A, builds on it for 90 seconds and then doesn't revisit it again until the very end, instead using a lot of part B (the singing bits) spaced with some part C. Think of parts A, B, C, etc as non-descript blocks.

its lighthearted and a bit whimsical, so i guess the words should reflect that. i havent been here for past threads, so im just going to go out on a limb and assume its supposed to capture something about the streets of ponyville, or whatever town theyre in. that shouldnt be too hard since its a lot like writing a story. describe the area a bit, mountains or valley etc, then get down to smaller details that make the town home, smells from a local bakery, name drops if done tastefully, shit like that.

Personally, I think you're being pedantic: you can hardly mistake "Horn as rotten as her flesh, holes in every limb. Hair that reeks of mold. Skin rotting and black. On the other hand, how would we go about working pony into the lyrics? I'd suggest changing "Queen, try and suck my honey" to "Chrysalis, suck my honey" which would, in my opinion, dull the lyrics but it'd be an explicit mention. Also, the syllables might not fit.
Otherwise, there's also "And there’s a woman I perceive": change woman to pony or mare.

I posted it more because I'm trying to post anything other than bump but it also turns out that was the version I was looking for for being different to what I'm more familiar with: major key (with only two chords) with an elongated "Oh me, oh myyyy!".
